    Upstairs AC unit started to not work as well as it got hotter outside during the summer sometime around June this year. I called my home warranty. The home warranty sent Grants Heating and Cooling to my house. There was an older gentleman with a younger teenager about 14 years old with him. The gentleman told me that I needed to change my air filters and clean out the AC unit outside by spraying it out with a hose. He did not at any time during that day look at anything that was part of the AC unit, neither outside nor inside. Then he left. I called my warranty to inform them that we had already changed the air filters, and nothing had worked prior to Grants Heating and Cooling coming to the house. My warranty company then sent someone else out from six hours away but did little to help the AC. About two weeks ago my downstairs AC quits working right. Once again, my home warranty had tried to dispatch Grants back to my house. I had called Grants after they had been assigned because I had not heard anything from them for about two days. The lady on the phone said that they were booked until next week and would contact me about a day to come out this week. I had called on Monday the 29th of August to see if they had figured out what day they would be coming. I also had a feeling that they were not going to call me at all. I explained to the lady that I wanted to know if they knew when they would be at my house to fix my AC. She said they would get someone to my house today and she would call me back. Not one time during that phone call did she ever ask me for my name or my phone number. Which automatically was a red flag. Today is Tuesday Aug. 30th and they still haven't called. Nor have they come out to my house. This has caused me to call my warranty and tell them about my experience with Grants. Now I am waiting again for another company to be dispatched while my entire family sits in a hot house. I am surprised that Grants Heating and Cooling even exists still.

    Do not do business with this company. They came out here to check our unit (which worked, the homeowner wanted to make sure it was ok after a power outage) and by the time they left, the motherboard was fried. I went in the attic after they left to find THEY CONNECTED THE POSITIVE WIRE TO THE GROUND PORT OF THE MOTHERBOARD. And now the unit is not working. Fast forward 2 weeks, they come back out to reinstall the new motherboard and it is the wrong one. Now, 3 weeks after the wrong one was realized, I had to call and tell them they FAILED to finish the job. And now of course we have to wait for insurance to pay more for the cost difference of the motherboard, and wait some more for the manufacturer to send the part out to them. Please, please, please do NOT do business with this company.
