  This company is the worst!They started very strong with the customer service however, once you start paying they ghost you. I have been trying to contact them about panels not working in my system for a number of weeks now. No one from Kin has reached out of than an email saying that someone would be in contact with me. This is *****! This company is not a small company and it should be able to manage customers smoother than this. I already had a sour taste for solar and this just makes it terrible. Do not use this company!!!

  No one returned my email or texted. I had two panels out since July and have not had a technician out to repair. My Power bill is as must as my loan now.

  I was approached by a sales representative at my door. I live in a gated community. I thought they were a legitimate business. I was coerced into an agreement where they would install the solar panels and maintenance for 25 years. My cost was supposed to be $104 a month. It turns out they failed to mention that I would still have to pay my electric company. It started out as $25 monthly. Now, with weather/clouds it is over $60 monthly. I never would have signed up for this if I had the truth. Now my roof warranty is nonexistent on a new home!

  So my next-door neighbor used this company, and I liked the way her unit looked on the side of the house. It was small. The panels were really nice. I watched them work throughout the day and they seem to neat and methodical and they seem professional. mass my sales person his name is ****** and I told him I loved the way my neighbors looked and I like the way you guys worked and I want the exact same unit that she had in the same panels and he said no problem we got you. He came in after a couple of days got me approved and the guys came within a couple weeks after the job was done. I was extremely disappointed. I did not get the same unit as my neighbor, I got this huge monstrosity on the side of my house and it looks terrible The technician said oh they changed companies. They dont use that company anymore too much expensive they use Solar edge now the one your neighbor uses I was furious ****** my sales person He was not honest at all !! Im a single woman, and I trusted this man and this company ! I called the company. It took a while for anyone to get back to me I said I did not order this told him the whole story. They said they were gonna come down and look at it. There was nothing that they could do except they came after a month and they painted the panels and the pipes but its still the same thing but now I have a new problem its not working. I am paying two bills. Im paying one for my panels. thats $155 a month and I am paying an electric bill at ********************************************************************** I call and one person doesnt know what the other persons doing everyone has no clue whats going on and Im about to get a lawyer so buyer beware I would not recommend this company to anyone.I just cant believe that these people are running a business. They are a bunch of shysters and their sales people are liars.

  ****** is a very good salesman. He gives background of the company and answers any questions completely. If I didn't understand something, he said it again for me on a different way so I did understand. He's a very truthful and compassionate young man and approaches his job with seriousness but with a bit of humor. It's refreshing. He doesn't get frustrated and made sure I understood all of it. He has a good future with the company. I'm very happy with him and glad he was the one who came to my door.

  They built a great solar panel system however it took months for them to install and once installed they did not document system so we could get on the grid We are 5 months from installation and still waiting they refuse to he honest with us or complete the documentation Even our electric company is upset

  Deceptive, unreliable and overpriced!The salesman lied about how much power the system would make. He said I would only have a power bill in the summer months and that would be low. The system makes 1/3 of what he promised. He also said the panels were high quality and they definitely do look high quality. The salesman was smooth and I was foolish. I didn't do my research and got suckered into paying 30% more than the top end of a reasonable average cost. He started out with a quote of $60k and we settled on $43k. This is now the reason I can't ******* home. They are a preditory business. I am just sick with regret. I called a lawyer but I have no proof of the lies I was told. He said even if I sue and win it would cost me what I owe on the system in legal fees. Now my system has not been working for over 3 months. My electricity payments are on autopay so eventually I realized my bills are too high and that I have a ptoblem. When they set the system up they told me they would monitor it remotely using my wifi. They clearly lied about that because they would have noticed an issue months ago if they were monitoring it. I called multiple times to get a tech to come out to fix it. They gave me an appointment (after a month of calling). I called to confirm and the lady said the appointment was canceled and someone was supposed to have called me. Now I have an appointment but have to wait an additional 3 weeks. So my system will have been broken for over 4 months by the time someone comes to see it. ****** is a terrible company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH KIN HOME SOLAR!
