I’ve had excellent payment history for two years. I set up autopay and somehow every month I get a call that my payment is not enough to cover monthly payment. Then I get a $41 fee each time due to their error. So each month I talk to them and I’m assured that this won’t happen again. Can you pay $15 more today to be uptodate. Today I speak with a manager who says the exact same thing, that I will be set up on autopay. They are killing me in fees and I’m doing the right thing. Truly disgusted.Review from Elaine T

Do not order from them. I ordered an item that ended in .97. They won’t let you return those items. Nowhere on the site does it say this. They told me I should have checked the customer service and it was there.Review from Oderin B

I wish I can give them no stars One of the The worst business I have ever did business with. They sent me a damage item which were Timberland boots. The timberlands had glue on the side and were crushed. I sent the boots back to the company. They charged me a return fee because they sent me some damaged boots. I didn't even know they had charged me for a return fee. So they charged me with a late fee for not paying the return fee. I didn't know until they reported late payment to Credit karm. Which cause my credit yo go down a whopping 100 points both Equafax and 42 points with Experience. I'm an high upset to the point I have a headache. I worked so hard to get my credit in green. But after this it back in red. If you wanna know should you deal with fingerhut. Don't I advise you to stay far away from this company. If you return something they charge a return fee. If your late paying return fee they charge late fee. Run from this company if you want to make payments on a big purchase. Use Afterpay or Klarna to build up credit open a self account. But Do not deal with Fingerhut unless you want damage or defective product and a low credit score.Review from Mary T

I have been trying to resolve issues with this company for several months now. I cannot log into my Fingerhut Fetti account with my requested credentials; my last name and social security number. The customer number showing on the Fingerhut website is different than the number on my paper statement. I have tried to call Fingerhut several times but like so many other reviewers, speaking to someone with a very thick accent happens every time. I requested to speak to a supervisor, and the calls were disconnected. When I tried to use the online chat multiple times, I kept getting told to go through the verification process. Every time I did that, I ended back up at the "Account Overview" screen, where the wrong customer number was listed. I received messages every time that stated there was already a web account with my information (last name and social security number) and I was instructed to login using those credentials. The same process happened EVERY time I tried to log into my account. I sent email messages to customer service and in turn they responded by instructing me to mail a copy of my social security card and my driver's license to them. On 8/20/24 I spoke to someone named "John", who also had a thick accent, and he told me that Fingerhut will not do anything about me not being able to access my account UNTIL or UNLESS I send copies of my social security card and driver's license to them. This is an invasion of my privacy and it creates a high risk of identity theft. "John" confirmed that Fingerhut DOES have my social security number on file already. They will NOT budge until or unless they receive the documents they have requested. I do not feel safe about doing that. No other company has ever demanded that I send copies of critical documents to them. Fingerhut is a catalog company and NOT a financial institution and requiring long-time customers such as me to provide copies of personal documents sounds and feels like a scam. When speaking with a representative, I went through a set of verification questions to verify my identity to simply update my address. The representative had a very heavy accent and I requested she repeat the questions several times. The verification process failed and she than asked me to send in my social security number, identification card, and other forms of personal information that can be easily used for scamming purposes. When I asked to speak to a supervisor and explained I couldn't understand the questions, he started he would ask the same set of verification questions. The first question was asking about my bank account information. I refused to answer that question. He at that time also asked me to send in my social security card and other identification information which I also refused. FingerHut just posed a serious scam threat to me. I've worked with fingerhut before and I've never had this issues. In a high climate of people being scammed, to ask someone over the phone to provide bank account information, social security information, along with my identification, is absolutely unacceptable. This presents a fear of security to me, not a feeling of safety.Review from Shauna E

I love that I was able to start out as Fingerhut Freshstart (people with no credit or low credit) and after a minimum down payment on my purchase, I received my product and paid it off in small installments and was then given a regular account as well as credit line increase. They do report to my credit report so it makes it easy building back my credit line. Ordering is so easy, even with partnered company's! I love Fingerhut Fetti!Review from Michael D

Had an account in good standing for over 2 years. With a 1000$ limit and a 0$ balance. Account was paid on time every time. And out of nowhere they just closed it. So much for building credit with a GREAT payment history. My credit score plunged due to this account closure. Do not do business with this joke of a company. They'll ruin your credit instead of building it.Review from Angry C

I wish I could rate zero starts for St off they messed up my credit it's been years they still reaching out to me they keep selling my information. I received a laptop basically that I had to get fixed as well as get the disk for back in 2017 or 17 let's make this shirt I don't even have the pc now it got the blue screen so many times I just said fuck it I really wish they st9p harrassing me cause I feel like I should be sueing cause it's not even on my report no more but they still bothering me I even paid them a couple times but after having to get it fixed and buy stuff why should I have to pay information some bsReview from Suzette B

I have been with fingerhut for 8 years. It started off so good, could make my payment easily online. Few years ago they changed things, think got bought out.. now no way to make payments online.. they just send your name to credit report and mess up your credit because of their doing of no way to make a payment. I have tried emailing them for help. No help. Can’t call because can’t understand the person answering there phones. Be careful going through fingerhut. If you have good credit.Review from JANICE H
