Never filed a complaint in 25 years of home ownership. i had floor sanding scheduled with ****'s floor sanding (******, **). I had spoken many times to **** about an aspect of the project. I wanted an in-lay between the bathroom and floors. I sent him pictures and he confirmed by email/phone that ****** would take a look at it. They would send out a ********* to fix this transition. When i scheduled the work, I reminded them that a ********* would need to come out (as they recommended) before we sand the floor. When the first ******************* showed up, i explained the issue and he said he would relay my concerns. When they did the final coat, they simply put an square piece of wood on top instead of cutting out the wood and installing an in-lay. When i called to ask, "what's up and where's my promised in-lay..." i got the usually run around that they didn't agree 'in writing' in spite of me having the emails to prove that they did. Then I said i wanted to think about how to fix (they offered a solution with additional charges) and I would call back on monday to pay after i made my decision (it was thursday before a holiday). They charged my card without my authorization. When I called back, ********************* up on me twice. He said that he told me he was going to run the card (a lie as I would not have agreed with the project not finished) and he does not have the authority to run my car w/o my approval. He then said if i didn't pay immediately, they would take out a lien against my house and foreclose on my home (apparently ****** didn't go to law school and doesn't know the difference between a foreclosure and a judgement). I always pay my bills, have a credit score of 840 but his rudeness was totally unnecessary. I asked him who his boss was and he stated, "who do you think?" I wouldn't waste time with this business and there are many other contractors who i are more honorable I am sure. Obviously they are not men of their word. Very very disappointed.

After Dave’s completed the staining and refinishing of our wood floor, it looked like there were bubbles in the finish in many places so I called and talked to Justin who was going to have someone come out and take a look. I sent pictures as well so they could see the issues. They guy that was supposed to come out got delayed so Justin said he was going to send someone out the next day to buff and put another coat of poly on and that should take care of it. When the guy arrived the next day he said he knew exactly the issue and it was from water popping…which is apparently something they spray on the floor and then sand after so the stain is picked up better. The issue is that apparently not all the fibers were flattened or sanded off before they put the stain down and the first coats of poly. He was sure that buffing and another coat would take care of it and we would not see the issue when he was done. Well…in some areas he was right…in other areas we now can see the circular buffing marks AND it still looks like there are bubbles in the finish even though the top of the floor is smooth. In addition, now I have random bumps from debris that’s embedded in the finish along with hat looks like hair. The conversation with Justin was not any form of customer service I would expect from a professional. First, apparently I should have expected water popping and it’s not his problem that I didn’t know that it should be ok in the finish. Second, that becaise he could “see where this is going” he could send out an “independent” industry inspector that costs $700 and that if that inspector deemed the floor to be within industry standards I would have to pay for that too. Well if the look of bubbles is within industry standard I’m not going to spend another $700 for some “expert Dave’s sends out to tell me that again. I wanted a smooth floor that didn’t look like there were bubbles in it and that debris wasn’t stuck in the finish! I will have someone else fix
