I am writing to bring to your attention the concerning business practices of Tow Pro / Davenport ************************************************************ a tow company located in *******. Specifically, I am concerned about the excessive charges they are imposing on customers and their failure to be open during regular business hours.On 4/6/2023, my car was towed (Lien ************************* Auto Sales, LLC by Tow Pro / Davenport from a city call the car was in an auto accident to their tow yard. When I arrived to retrieve the vehicle during regular business hours, the facility was closed. An employee was exiting the building at approximately 3:15 pm om 4/6/2023 she stated she was closing her relief did not come in, so she was leaving ASAP. She also stated she should have been gone but she was waiting as a courtesy to for her boss to give a driver his payroll check. I did not get her name it was a female white woman. Additionally, I was surprised to find that the charges for the tow were significantly higher than what I expected, and I believe that they are not in line with industry standards. The car had not even been on there lot for 8 hours.As a business owner and citizen of *******, I am concerned about the impact of these business practices on the community. The charging of excessive fees and the failure to provide reliable service during regular business hours, this is unfair to customers and creates an unnecessary burden on the public. I am writing to request that the city take action to investigate these business practices and take appropriate measures to address them.I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing from you regarding the steps that the BBB will take to ensure that tow companies operating in ******* are providing fair and reasonable service to the community.

My car was towed to this yard. I went to get my things out of my car. I noticed that all my sunglasses were missing. I had 2 large duffle bags in my trunk. They are missing. I'm also missing a pistol. The owners are claiming I stole my own property. This is a warning to anyone that has their vehicle towed there. Just be careful.

Dealing with Davenport has been a nightmare. Company is not reliable and lied over & over they were on the way. They never initiated a call to me. I initiated all contact. Still have not received a call from them and this is the next day. I requested the tow at 4pm on a Thursday and as of 7 am the next morning (Friday), my vehicle has not been towed. The staff lied that they tried to reach me. No missed calls on my phone. They said the driver was hitching the truck, another lie. They even lied to the insurance company. Then stated that the delay was due to prioritizing tow for the Police. Why was I never contacted and told that this would delay the tow. Only one driver was working. Worst experience I have every had as I lost sleep and was up much of the night. The estimated pick up ***(ETA) went from 5 pm & changed to 10:20 pm; then to 1:39 am. I strongly recommend that if this company is assigned to tow your vehicle, run fast!!!!! No integrity, conflicting stories; dishonest. You will regret having this company assigned to tow your vehicle. Consider yourself warned! I do not agree with the 1 star rating but it is required in order to submit this review. If there were a minus rating, I would score them a triple minus ---.
