The owner of this company is rude and failed to file my taxes correctly. When another accountant found the error I contacted the company and requested they correct their error and refile the taxes. I was told that it was my fault and that "she" would get to it when she had time as I was at the bottom of her priority list. I have emails and documentation to prove that she was given all my tax documents. * *** ** ** ** ******* ********** ** **** ***** ******* *** *** ********** I would not recommend this firm to anyone.

The "customer" is sadly mistaken. She did not provide us with all of her tax documents at the time of filing her (2020) income taxes. We have a very strict intake system to track what documents are either handed to us or emailed to us and we refer back to the prior years when receiving a current year paperwork. This person came at one of the girls in the office with a very accusing email that we had screwed up her taxes and that they needed to be fixed. The problem was that we had done an adjustment for the 2020 taxes in 2021 - after her US Accountant informed her that the US information was not on her taxes - which we knew nothing about. This person was informed by emails - of the outcome of the adjustment and what she owed the government and us for the preparation of such. (we too have all of the accusing emails she sent along with our responses etc.) In March or April of this year while preparing the 2021 tax returns - right in the middle of the height of tax season she was demanding another form be filed - which I contacted the US Accountant for the proper documentation - which is very specific, but also informed her that this would have to be done after all of the tax returns that were in the queue - as that is how we deal with our clients. There were a few emails back and forth where she argued with us - but we could prove that she was wrong and we had done everything prior that she requested. I again informed her that when I received the proper paperwork she would go into the queue and it would be done. She refused to acknowledge that as her investments were in the USA - and that we had never dealt with them prior to the adjustment that we did - we had no way of knowing what the value was or where they were from. We did tell her in one of the emails because of her wrongly accusing us - when the error was hers that we did not wish to prepare her 2021 taxes and requested that she go elsewhere. I probably was considered rude when I would not bow down to her and do the adjustment that she was demanding be done "right now" and then said I did not want to deal with people like this year after year - as they always seem to forget information and blame the other person. So, in my opinion and proof - we did all the work we were requested to do up to the form demanded in 2022.

I am not arguing with this lady. Before I gave the tax documents to her, I visited their office and asked if they could do Cross Border accounting. She guaranteed that they could. Documents were submitted to her but somehow the US information was missed when they did the taxes. My only comment is that she is **** and I would not recommend her to anyone.

In response to her comments of not wanting to argue with me - she knows she was wrong and her emails sending the missed information etc., can prove this. She came into my office originally because she had sold a property (2019) and wanted to know how it would be dealt with on her taxes, we prepared her 2019 taxes for her with no problems. I feel that she is just angry because she forgot that we had dealt with all of the things she missed on her 2020 tax return after she supplied them to us and her attitude and accusations got her told to go else where to file her 2021 return. We (all the staff in my office) keep our emails so that we have all the back up when people "forget" what was done and our files have been complimented many times when CRA has come to our office when we are helping with a messy file. We did nothing wrong - we did all the work that was requested until the demand for immediate service was refused. If she had contacted us prior to tax season, her file would have been dealt with in a timely manner - just like the adjustment due to her error was.
