December 5, 2022 Filed complaint to BBB against Lance Roofing for damages done to *** ***** ******* ********* ** ***** *** ***** ** **** ********** *** *** *************** **** ******* **** *** ******* ** ***** ******** ********** * ****** *********** *** **** ******** ***** **** *** ***** ** *** *** ***** **** *** ******* *** ****** ********* ** *** ******** ******** ******** *** *** ****** ********* **** ********** ** **** ****** ** him not honouring the 4-year warranty after seeing the photos, coming over to my residence at *** ***** ******, and viewing the damages in person. At this meeting, ** ******* **** I asked if he would honour the warranty. Then he asked me how much more I was willing to spend on the repairs. At the time, l did not know what exactly caused the damage except that the job Lance Roofing was hired to fix did not correct the issues instead worsened them. The damages extended not only from my bedroom to my bathroom, but later to my new kitchen. ***** ********** ** **** * ********* ******** roofing company who discovered that the spray foam that Lance Roofing used was not up to code, the attic had not been cleaned out before spray foaming as stated in the scope of work, and the air vents had not been properly opened. ** ***** the damage was so extensive on the east and west side of the back of the house, the spray foam had melted the previous attic insulation which had not been removed so that water became trapped under the now congealed insulation causing water to sit there even late into September of 2022 when the newly hired company had to scrape the attic floor (ceilings) to remove the stuck/burnt/congealed insulation. **** **** ** ********** **** ***** ***** **** ***** **** **** ****** * ************ **** ****** *** *****. The work to repair the damage to the attic was extensive, time consuming and expensive. *** **** ************* **** ****** ******* ***** ********* *********** *** **** ***** ** ***** ******** ** ******* ******** *** *** ******* I expect a full refund for work not properly done to the standards as set forward in the scope of work. This includes the verbal assurances that the company would take care of the issues as stipulated prior to signing the contract. ********** **** ******** ** **** ******** **** Lance Roofing *** * ****** ** ****** *** ******* verbally committed to ensuring that he would personally make sure that all electrical boxes would be sealed including the bathroom fans etc. The sealing would automatically take place before spray foaming the attic. He also stated that he would be hiring ***** ********** for the job. Instead, he hired some guy with a spray gun to do the work. I tried not to doubt him when he kept saying that he had my back and that he had been in business for about 50 years. ******** *** **** ** *************** **** *** **** ********* ***** * ****** *** ********. 1. He mainly talked about other jobs when he came over and side stepped the issues about when my roof would be done. 2. When things were not going his way with me, he would hang up the phone or not answer my calls either at the office or on his cell. 3. He constantly postponed the scheduled work without telling me. 4. He would ***** when he was frustrated or upset. 5. He rarely kept to his own schedule: he was either late, did not show up, or re-schedule. I always had to be the one to call him back to ask whether he was coming or not.

regarding the east/west extensions and the non sealed pot lights that were to
be sealed prior to spray foaming by Lance Roofing. ***** ****** ** *** bathroom fan’s which were
not sealed at all. Lance Roofing said
upfront that they needed to be sealed before the signing of the contract. But they were not sealed. *** ****** ******** **** ******* **** **** ***** ***** ******** **** ********* *** *** * ****** *** ***** *** ***** *** ****
