      On 12-15-21 I contacted Durbin Pumbing by phone and spoke to the owner's ***** I described a leaking tub faucet, a leak in the toilet tank into the bowl, and that I needed to have the popup repaired in the sink. She set an appointment for the following day after one o'clock. At 2:30 the owner called saying it had been a terrible day and requested to reschedule for the following day. I agreed. The tech came. He readily repaired the running toilet by repositioning a lever. The leak stopped immediately. He kept saying that I needed additional repairs including replacing the flap and replacing the entire toilet. After explaining multiple times that I did not want to do any additional repairs. I asked him to stop asking me. He periodically called the owner asking questions and getting prices .He continued to try to upsell me on the toilet. He did not have the pop up piece with him although that had been discussed in the initial call. He did not know how to repair an old stem and said that another technician would bring the part and repair the faucet in the tub. I listened to the two techs discuss the repair and it became obvious that they did not know how to repair it. After requesting three times that the second tech pull his mask up over his mouth and nose, He became angry and yelled insults to me to the point that I felt threatened. I said to pull up his mask and called him a name. He said that he needed to see my other bathroom, already seen by the 1st tech . I stated that he needed to leave. They called the owner from my porch. I asked to speak to the person. I said I didn't think they knew what they were doing. He agreed and said that he would be out 12-20-21 between 8:30 to 9 to fix the problem. His **** apologized for the tech's behavior. The repair of the popup in the sink was partially completed. The first tech was new. Faucet back on in the tub but couldn't be tightened. No show on Monday. Three calls and an email were not answered.

      I called Durbin Plumbing yesterday to fix a leaking shower head. They said they had an opening and sent a plumber out within an hour of the call. We were glad to have the problem solved since we had been dealing with the problem for over a week and the first person we called never called back. They were close and received several awards on the Nextdoor site. The plumber came in looked at the shower and gave us a total of $800. We were shocked at the total but wanted the problem fixed and said yes. He had to go get the part from a plumbing supply and was gone maybe 30 minutes. He drilled a hole in the wall between the shower and a closet which I knew was something he had to do for pipe access and was here maybe 2 hours. When he finished he left the hole open and didn't clean up the drywall dust. When he wrote out the receipt it just listed repaired bedroom shower- no hourly rate, no price of the shower head or if a service call was charged. When I called the office back I was told that that was the cost and in fact it was cheap to call other plumbers and see how much they charge. When I told them I didn't receive an itemized bill I was told the shower head and handle was over $350. I wouldn't know that or how much was charged per hour because it was not itemized. When my son tried to intervene he hung up and when we called back they wouldn't answer. When my son called from his phone they hung up on him too. Since I thought this was a reputable company I'm both disappointed and angry with the service, overcharge and response. I would NOT recommend this company for any service.

      These people have devoted a lot of time to trying to affect our reputation. Google has been notified that they gave us multiple one star reviews. You can do ONE review, but not multiple over the same event. Legal action is also on the way to them. Somehow people we have never done work for gave us one star reviews at the samet time. This is harassment. They keep revising their story. They were told the fee in advance. They were high fiving our plumber and telling him thank you when he left. Then somehow they weren't happy the next day. I suspect what they were trying to do but I can't say so. They were verbally abusive and screaming on the phone, so yes we hung up. There is a limit to what any business has to deal with from a customer. Our 23 year reputation and lack of complaints speaks for itself. I am done with these people and am not responding to anything else. Our lawyer is taking it from here.
