I have not had a chance to do business with this company. I got mail from them that I thought was solicitation so put in junk mail because I've had a contract with Affordable Pest Control for over 20 years. For some reason I checked it and saw it was a bill for a renewal fee of $70, my annual fee for Affordable. I had no notification that the company had been sold. There was no phone number on the bill to call them. I had to call the former owner of Affordable to find out he retired & sold the business. How do I contact them if I have an problem? So far, I am not impressed.

Janice, I am sorry that the previous owner did not contact you to let you know he had sold the business. Although we do not have our phone number on our annual renewal notices we do provide our website. You can contact us at 502-452-9600. Thank You

We moved into a home about 3 months ago and just received a letter in the mail from Bright Pest Control. The envelope was addressed to us by name but the inside addressed us as Dear Valued Customer and it had a invoice for $270 and an account number. There was threatening language about being forced to remove the stations if we didn't pay and that would leave us no protection for future termite infestations and damage. We aren't a customer and never signed a contract with them for any services. The seller of the home, an elderly widower, said that he also didn't have pest control services. His late wife who'd passed away about ten years ago had one time set up termite monitoring stations but he didn't know with who. He said they never collected the stations. Our home inspector said they didn't look maintained and several were broken. They were overgrown and had no bait. There was also some insect damaged wood on the house so no one had treated for insects in a while. In response to the ugly letter, I called Bright Pest Control and asked to speak to the person who signed it. They were apparently busy so I told the receptionist to close the account and take us off their mailing list. She didn't ask for the account number or my name and address but she got angry and said they would have to come remove the stations. I said I'd already dug them up and thrown them away. From the looks of them there was no way they would be reused anyway. The plastic was warped and damaged and they were full of soil. She was very angry and said they would have to come out anyway. I told her that they weren't allowed on our property and that if they came out we would call the Police. She told me I was being nasty so I told her I was going to file a complaint and hung up. I will call the Police if they come here. They probably just want an opportunity to make a hard-sell face-to-face. Our neighbors and us have all agreed not to use dangerous pest control products that could harm or pets. I don't want to seem to break trust by having a pest control company in my driveway. I don't understand why they're harassing us. We never asked for their services and they have no business with us. They clearly knew that when they addressed the envelope to us by name.

We have been servicing this property annually according to the contract with Curtiss B. ***** since April of 1998. I have a signed ticket from Mr. ***** when the last service was performed on 7/17/20. As our normal protocol we send out notices every year to let our customers know it is time to renew the annual warranty. Once we have a response by payment for a phone call we schedule an appointment to do an annual check inside and outside while checking each bait station. We had no knowledge the house had been sold until we received our notice back in the mail. At that time we checked with PVA to find out who had purchased the property and then sent a notice to the new homeowner to give them an opportunity to take over the warranty. All of our notices start with Dear Valued Customer. Our process is to send three notices with the final notice letting them know, if the warranty is not removed we will have to remove the termite bait stations as the belong to *** **** ********. We pride ourselves as a family owned business and we do threaten, harras or scam our customers. I am sorry if she felt that way. Also we had been contacted by the previous owner in 2018 as to possible activity in the area mentioned it was checked and found to be water damage.
