They damaged our vehical and then lied about it. The car was repaired but they refuse to pay for our rental.

After 2 months of driving our vehicle, we started noticing a loud rattling noise and it was shutting down and shaking while idling at a stop light. Also, we’ve been getting terrible gas mileage. My wife tried taking it there as soon as it had problems to see if it was still drivable (2-3 attempts) and they couldn’t see it until our appointment like a few weeks away. Before our appointment, I had a friend hook his computer to the vehicle to see what code it was and it came up with P0014, which is something to do with the camshaft actuator. I don’t know much about cars, but from what I read online, the symptoms we had were related to this and it indeed effects fuel economy. So we went for our appointment today (Monday, June 13th) and they said it was out of oil and needed the whole engine block replaced and it wasn’t covered under the extended warranty that we purchased. Therefore, we wouldn’t have any kind of rental car coverage. ?? So after speaking with my salesman on the phone a couple times and unsuccessfully trying to reach the guy in service, I just decided to go to the dealership and speak with a manager. I was informed that the repairs WOULD be covered under a warranty the dealership had with the engine, because it had been replaced once before. (So somewhat good news, but still no rental car coverage) This vehicle is a 2016 so I’m just curious why this will be the 3rd engine this vehicle has had in the last 6 years. Also, where did all the oil go? There’s not even one drop of oil on my driveway and I think I’d notice a big puddle of 4-5 quarts of oil. The dealership won’t loan me a car or pay for a rental. We just tried to take it in there and possibly trade it in for something else. They offered way less than what we paid for, and we were going to have to finance $6k more. And they didn’t want to help me because of the reviews I left online. This is ridiculous and I think this dealership really takes advantage of people!!!!!

Buyer beware, Leachman does not value customers or care after the sale. I purchase a vehicle from Leachman. While the deal was ok, I soon found that customer service and support are non-existant after the sale. Not only have they not corrected the sale issues, but warranty work as well Over 2 months trying to get into the promised service so far. They will not return calls or follow up as promised. I was literally told to find another dealer to fix the issues they promised to fix.

The sales department was very pushy, rude, and would not answer our questions. When I called to speak to the sales manager, after just leaving the dealership and only seconds after talking to our sales associate, asking about the extended warranty we were told the vehicle was sold... We will see. Very rude and unprofessional group. Not like it used to be.
