    Sales ticket #********* Service Ticket *********** Purchase date 05-30-2023 Delivery date 08-25-2023. Finley Sofa $3995.14 which included $150 5 year ******* Add'l 5 year warranty for power feature and fabric protection. 2-5-24 advised Lazy Boy cushions had wrinkling every time they were sat on and fabric showed color transfer on seat cushion where they were sat on. Told someone would call in 2-3 days. 2-15-24 called Lazy Boy again, I had not heard from service dept. On 3-1-24 Lazy Boy service came out and took photos, said someone would call us the following Monday or Tuesday. On 3-20-24 went into the store in Louisville. I took photos showing substantial wrinkling and color transfer. ***** ******* store manager said all fabrics wrinkled when sat on and they did not cover blue jean transfer on fabrics. Said someone from service would call 3-21-24 or 3-22-24. Matter is out of their hands and we can only deal with service dept. On 3-20-24 received email from Heather Dicarlo customer service rep who said the wrinkling was "comfort wrinkles." They are normal in all upholstered furniture and cushions must be fluffed and turned frequently to maintain a "well filled appearance." This sofa has "fixed" seat and back. Cushions cannot be turned or fluffed. Photos service took were taken when sofa had not been sat on for several days. Photos I provided which Mr. ******* declined to keep showed substantial wrinkling after sofa was sat on for less than one hour. This sofa is only sat on when we have company. I purchased 2 recliners at the same time for me and my husband. We have no children in the house. My previous sofa $2000 was 15 years old and showed no wrinkling or color transfer. Warranty was not fully explained at time of purchase and we did not receive a written copy of the warranty until delivery. Fabric choice was recommended by **** ******* at time of purchase. At no time did she state this was a "flexible" fabric subject to wrinkling and color transfer.

    I purchased this approx $4k recliner dummer 2021, patiently waited months for delivery, to be stuck in it 3 times & lied to by the manager at the S. Hurstborne Ln, Louisville KY store while he was driving to the store from church. Yes people, from church. The first time I was stuck for hours, had use the restroom & had medical issues. The sales person nor did the delivery people ever tell me that you had to put batteries in the black box attached to the power cord to the wall. So I was stuck in the chair when the wireless remote and side "emergency" buttons stopped working and put the recliner in full, laid back position upon stop working. Yes people, it defaulted into a fully reclined position. My husband tried to use the side chair buttons to put the chair back to the "upright" position, and nothing. The chair was plugged directly to the wall, but they have this fun little flaw in the chair that if any battery stops working it will lay you flat to ensure you cannot physically get out of it. You can't even force the chair down manually to escape from it. What if an older person lived alone, and were to be defaulted into the full recline position, couldn't reach a phone and had a medical issue? If a battery stops working, but has just enough juice to make one last position change, shouldn't it put you in the upright position so you can actually get out of the chair? 11/20/2023 it happened once again, the side rescue buttons did not work & it was not slid into the lock position, the remote was lighting up, but unsynced itself from chair. Called corp office, waited 2hrs & 44mins for rep, transfered to someone else, was told I was out of my warranty with La-Z-Boy, but did purchase the 5yr warranty & have to work with the third party warranty co. I refused and stated this problem started within yr 1 of purchase, it was never fixed so La-Z-Boy needs to fix this for no charge. Repair tech came, said main box needs replacement and I will have to pay for it. Still no call.

    Our technician has gone to the home on two occasions to inspect. Both times he said the chair was built and working as designed even sitting in the chair and using the remote up to 10 times each. It worked as designed. We now have ordered a new control module to replace the old one as a courtesy for the customer. We also, in no way, have lied to the customer as this is not our business practice. The part is on order and we will replace the part once it arrives.
