We purchased movie tickets from this company online for our local movie theater. Drove 45 minutes to the theater got there and the theater was closed. We waited for someone to open the doors 10 minutes after showtime but they never did...when we requested a refund Fandango stated our policy is not to refund money after showtime. I get it but they never should have taken our money for a theater that was no longer in businessReview from Jennifer H

I'd give them 0 if that was an option. I have never experienced so many issues trying to spend money. You are not guaranteed anything when you give them your money. They can cancel at anytime and then good luck getting your money back or even a human to assist you. The same dude Nkosinathi, N does NOT care about their customers nor their experience. Their entire revenue stream is based on the $1 "convenience fee" that they will not refund, regardless of who cancelled. They cancelled my tickets and concession stand purchase less than 24 hours before my movie. I was asked 567 times to save time and get my food now, so stupidly, I spent $30 on popcorn and drinks for a movie that was cancelled on me without notice. I have yet to receive a refund. Mr ********** at Fandango support that's provided by ************ could care less and refuses to give me the confirmation # for the cancelled food that I never cancelled. To top it off, they are texting me to go get my food. If you give them your money, you'll never get it back. And any credits they issue you, are worthless bc the theatre won't accept "passes". The only way to guarantee you can see the film on the day and time purchased, is to drive your happy a** to the theater the Day before and buy a literal paper ticket. I feel really stupid seeing the 1.7 rating as I'm leaving a review I wish I had read before I gave them a single *****. $1 taken from every customer regardless if goods or services are provided is what's keeping this company afloat. Don't give them anything bc you won't get anything in return. I've never had such a terrible customer service experience. And shame on me for not reading a recent review of this scam of a company. No seat is guaranteed so save yourself and buy direct from theatre. Contacted again multiple times and finally got Dimakatso,M, same terrible service and still refuses to give me a confirmation# of the refund they are claiming they issued. Had VUDU for years with lots of movies in my library with very few issues. Was able to watch my movies anywhere on my iPad. Now it is Fandango at Home I have nothing but problems. Movies wont load. When asked for help *** been ignored. Terrible service poor product.Review from Faith D

I used a reward to get a movie ticket and bought one from them directly. When I canceled right after purchase because I found a cheaper site. I reached out to fandango. They informed me my promo can not be credit back to account for future use nor refunded. I didnt argue and understood. Then charged me another fee to get my original money back.Review from Kirsten N

I tried to get a refund and was clicking through their three login screens before it blocked me out. I cant get a refund even after calling customer service. I cant help it if their refund process is crazy slow. Anyway, dont buy tickets from them. Its not safe.Review from Breshee C

Rental Refund for not being in English All I did was request a rental refund because the movie wasn't in English. The movie is advertised in English, but plays in a foreign language. This is the response I received for a simple rental refund..."For us to conduct a complete investigation please provide us with the following information to verify and proceed with further assisting you :Your Vudu email address Your first and last name The last 3 Purchases done on your Vudu account The last 4 digits of the credit card on file.and also the below information :Movie title Dates and amounts of charges Any additional information you find relevant.Once we have this information, we will verify what happened and follow up with you with the next steps to follow."Date of experience: June 24, 2024Review from Brian B

Terrible company and even worse customer service Had a Vudu account for years with over 500 TV and movies in it. Never a problem. Now that it is Fandango at Home they are blocking my access. I tried nurmourse times to talk to there customer service in ****** and they were no help. Gave them all the information they needed except my ip address and all they did for me is change my username and asked me to try again. Did not work. Respond to there email that it didn't work and called customer daily for help. They did not have any solution for me. I also sent there email back to them daily for a update. They did not reply back. Called customer service one more time all they did was send me back the original email, so I am starting over after 5 days from the beginning. I have put in over 11hrs of my own time trying to get into my account. If I ever get into my account again I am not going to buy any more movie from Fandango. I would be nice to have access to my of $10,000.00 investment though. This should not be legal and the digital copy rights need to be fixed to allow me download the movies and TV that I own, or there needs to be a law the says you only own them until Fandango says you don't before you hit Purchase button instead of hiding it in the fine print. Fandango.com advertised recently that if you signed up for their free Frontier Pass (I.e., accepting marketing emails) and linked to your Fandango app to purchase tickets to Costners new film, Horizon I, that theyd email you a code back to use for 50% off Horizon II. I did but they didnt. I called customer service and got a person of Indian accent who asked me to email her a copy of the advertisement which I did. Ive not heard back from Fandango, except to receive a call satisfaction survey which I submitted and requested they contact me back which of course they never did. Im beginning to think that they never intended to honor their advertisement but figured nobody would care to pursue it through all the barriers theyve erected to only appear concerned. Its the principle that irks me. I cant do business if I lack trust. (I have copies of all my emails with Fandango advertisements and screenshots.)Review from Carly D

I purchased movie tickets online, but my computer auto-selected the wrong theater. Fandango refused to refund my ticket purchases or help me to transfer to another theater. I called before the showtime and after. They were unwilling to even give me a credit. This company is a total scam.
