Ringing in the New Year with gratitude: a toast to our customers!

Paula Fleming, CMSO, discusses being grateful for your customers. January 2, 2025)

Happy New Year, BBB fam! As we raise a glass (or a cup of that delicious New England clam chowder) to 2025, let's take a moment to reflect on the backbone of our businesses: our amazing customers!

We know, we know. Dealing with customers in New England can be like navigating a Nor'easter – unpredictable, with occasional flurries of... let's call it "constructive criticism." Maybe they complain their lobster roll wasn't "wicked awesome," or perhaps they returned a snow shovel after a blizzard (we've seen it all!).

But here's the thing: without our customers, we wouldn't be here. They're the reason we get to do what we love, keep the lights on, and maybe even splurge on that extra scoop of maple walnut ice cream.

Why we love our New England customers (even when they're being a little "extra")

  • They keep us honest: Let's face it, New Englanders are known for their straightforwardness. Their feedback, even when delivered with a side of "bless your heart," helps us improve and grow.

  • They challenge us: Demanding customers push us to be creative and find solutions we might not have considered otherwise. Think of them as the ultimate test of your Yankee ingenuity!

  • They remind us why we do what we do: At the end of the day, we're in business to serve our community. Seeing our customers happy (most of the time!) makes all the hard work worthwhile.

This New Year, let's raise a glass to our customers – the good, the "challenging," and the "did they really just say that?" They make our businesses what they are, and for that, we're truly grateful.

As business leaders and fellow consumers, let's build a trustworthy marketplace in the new year – share your experiences by leaving a customer review today!

Here's to a prosperous 2025!
