We had to pay $130 extra because the plumber showed up with a non-working electronic gas pressure meter. He spent a few minutes on 1/25/22 checking our tankless water heater and said we had extremely low gas pressure (almost none) even though our gas furnace was working fine. He said we would have to get the gas company to address the problem and charged us $130. The gas company sent a worker right out who checked our pressure and assured us it was perfect. We called Lanier's office, but the plumber was already on another job. They said he would come back next day, which he did. This time he brought a different gas pressure meter and said yes, the pressure is fine. Then he proceeded to get the water heater working, and charged $260 for two hours labor. I called and asked for a refund of the first day's charge, since we received no benefit whatsoever due to the plumber's broken equipment. I was told the superintendent would have to check with the plumber about it first. I called a few more times, but only got the runaround. They also said they would email us a statement indicating what work was done and when, but we have not received that either. All we have to show we were a customer of Lanier Plumbing is the two charges to our bank card.
