    I brought in a Series 1 Apple watch b/c my screen was lifting. The girl said it was probably the battery swelling so we probably need to replace the battery. This was Tuesday 3/15. She called me that evening and said the technician confirmed it was the battery so it would have to be ordered. It was $30 for the battery and $60 for labor. I said ok. She said it would be ready Thursday morning to pick up. I wasn't able to go by until after work Thursday and was told it "was still clamped".... I told her I would be in town for a few hours and she asked that I call her and it would probably be ready. My plans went later than their time so I waited until Friday morning to pick it up. This time there was a guy and he told me the watch wasn't ready. I asked why not. He wasn't sure. I explained it was supposed to be ready Thursday (here we are a whole day later). I made a special trip as I live out of town. He looked in the computer and said all he could tell me was another part was ordered and had to be put in. I did not receive a call to ok this part or cost or even to tell me there was something else. He said $30 more will be added to your bill. Absolutely not ok! I went back and forth trying to reach ****** (the manager) and she could all but tell me that her tech messed something up in my watch when he was changing the battery. I told her i should not pay for that other part and she said they couldn't cancel the order. Not my problem. I told her to put the watch back together and I was coming to get it. She did not charge me, but I now have a watch that doesn't even turn on!! The watch worked perfectly fine when I dropped it off. I literally had to tell her to turn it off before I left. I've emailed corporate and called twice and no response!

    Hello, this is ****** the store manager at Phonezone on Derek. We are sorry for you inconvenience of not being able to fix your watch. We did not charge you for labor nor the new battery that was a special order and usually requires half down. The new battery did not fix your issue. I, However, never said my technician messed anything up. I simply stated we installed the new battery and it did not fix your issue so to move forward, we could try ordering an additional part which could fix the issue we were experiencing at the part cost which was 30$, Which again, no cost to you upfront. When you initially brought it in, the adhesive was almost completely gone from around the edges causing your watch to majorly be exposed to the elements. Along with the battery being bloated and normal wear and tear throughout the years of usage, I was uncomfortable verifying whether your watch was working properly by "turning it off" bc your screen was in such a fragile state. I was concerned about the screen and ribbons getting detached so therefore I waited for one of our experienced technicians to take it apart to start diagnosis. The end result was you deferring our recommendations of ordering additional parts to fix it bc it was not cost effective for you. We did seal it up with old battery as requested and did not charge you since we are unable to fix it. I am sorry for you unpleasant experience and if you end up changing your mind we'd be more than happy to help.
