Rented a cabin for 2 nights *** dollars that included a clean cabin and amenities and luxurious experience . well thats at least what we paid for ! What we got was a very dusty and dirty cabin no towels, wash cloths ,toilet paper, paper towels, soap of any kind thehot tub jets half worked the panel to the top was laying loose , the tub was half full of water the beds had no sheets , the games for the kids were unplugged and we called and was told sorry the games don't work and that we could just go but what ever supplies we thought we needed for our stay and we let them know we paid for a fully furnished room and that's what we expect to get well they said they would send someone out with our needed supplies that it will be 2 to 4 hours well after 32 hrs later at 1030 pm we get a knock on the door with supplies that we asked for at the beginning they said they would make it up with a discounted stay and went went to check out and they gave us 15% off our entire **** stay well the figured it up and they gave us 56 dollars off well thats not 15% so we explained that to them and they informed us they only give discounts on nightly price and not the entire cost so we had a **** cleaning fee and hot tub fee and a hole other list if fees for services that was supposed to be included in our rental which we didn't not recieve this place is a joke would not recommend staying here unless you like staying at the bottom of the barrel type of place motel 6 has better customer support and amenities than this place the customer with a reasonable complaint is now just an inconvenience to the company that just robs you of your money then offers you 100 dollars off your next stay they just try to grab all they can and swindle you into another stay thats gonna be another bad experienceReview from Brian J

I don’t understand how businesses can still get away with false advertising without consequences. 3 King beds were a must for me and my family and never would have booked this cabin if they were truthful about what size beds they had. You Must pay up front and then you get what you get regardless of what you thought you paid for. - [ ] Advertised 3 king beds, actual 3 queens - [ ] Advertised Pac-Man, galaga and multicade arcade gaming system. Only Pac-Man & Galaga - [ ] Advertised 5 Flatscreen tv’s. Actually 4. 2 of the 4 size of iPad. - [ ] Advertised electric fireplace (4) actual 3 gas and 1 wood fireplace.Review from Terri W

Switched cabins on us to cabin with to one w/no privacy, dishwasher didn’t work, we arrived to dirty dishes, requested a supervisor and no one would speak to us. Had to use bedding to cover windows so neighbors couldn’t see in. The experience was absolutely horrible. Completely destroyed our vacation. NO ONE NEEDS TO STAY HERE. Terrible we checked in to our cabin called Parkside located at **** ***** ****** *** on April 3 for spring break upon arrival we realize no WiFi so I call to speak with someone who tells me the owner of the cabin has allowed the WiFi to reach its cap so they will reach out and have the owner fix this… no call back today makes 3 days no WiFi, Can’t watch any of the 5 TVs can’t use the theater room, kids can’t use their Xboxes they brought with them, I was told by the manager the week before we came this cabin absolutely has WiFi as this was a necessity for me to work on this trip. they told me Wednesday They will move us to another cabin they did not, they apparently have no manager who can even call back other than a supervisor who relays the messages, and the only compensation they want to give us for a five day cabin rental with no TVs no Wi-Fi no Internet, three days of work compensation, being lost, and the only thing we’ve done in this cabin is sleep and shower was 150 dollars. Also no blankets sheets or pillows For pull out couches, pool table and air hockey table so old and damaged they can’t be used.Review from Emily W

Definitely do not recommend. We stayed in Running Bear. We had multiple issues, listed below, and after speaking with the representative they gave a very, very small refund and said, "It is our mission to provide you the cleanest cabin in the Smokies so that you will become a guest for a lifetime...from time to time, appliances, hot tubs, satellite TV, water, electricity, etc. will break down or malfunction. While we cannot refund any monies due to these issues that arise as they would in any property due to the life expectancy of any and all such appliances etc, we will respond as quickly as we can to make repairs and restore amenities." There was no attempt to fix the dryer, and when we informed them about the lack of beds, they told us we could go buy air mattresses and get reimbursed. The pull out beds were clearly written in the description and drawn into the layout. Top floor, king bedroom - the handle in the shower came off Multiple bathrooms - dead bugs, toothpaste on the wall (showing it was not properly cleaned), black stuff coming out of shower head Top floor, other bedroom - we were told there would be two queen bed pullouts, but there was only one twin bed pullout. If I could give them a negative 1000 stars I would. We checked in on Friday 1/19/24 and did an inspection of the cabin. Upon checking the pool was ice cold and the games did not work. Maintenance arrived, stated the pool heater was off and they had a ticket in for the games. Later on we started to see roaches. Roaches were crawling on the kitchen islander near our food, in the bathrooms, rooms and theater room. Dirty towels were left for us to use, sheets were dirty and dust was everywhere ( lamps, floors and ceiling fans). Saturday, 1/20 I called Guest services to voice my concerns and advise the pool was still ice cold and that the dryer was not working either. I stretched the fact about the roaches in the cabin and how unsanitary the cabin was. The rep promised someone would be out to rectify the problem. That NEVER HAPPENED. After my complaint, they offered me $157 compensation. What a joke! I said absolutely NOT. The lady at the front desk went on to say they could only offer me $200 refund and a future credit of $292 to use when I come back ( as if I would EVER come stay at one of their properties again) This company does not care about your concerns, the people in guest services definitely DO MOT CARE! All they care about is collecting your money. I still have not talked to a manager to rectify this problem. I will be posting pictures of everything we experienced and reporting this company to the BBB. DO NOT STAY HERE, RUNNNNNNNNNN FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!Review from Donna F

Not even worth 1 star…Hot tub didn’t work, took 3 phone calls to get resolved, house was not new construction, per the description. If it truly slept 16 I have no idea where they would have slept, especially since we were provided with 1 extra blanket (thankfully there was only 4 of us) The house was disgustingly dirty…Facets not attached to sinks, smoke detector hanging from ceiling. Cobwebs pretty much everywhere. Food in refrigerator left from last visitors. Did not get access to game room as none of the people I talked to knew what the code was. Pool was dirty, indoor pool full of leaves? Hot tub was fixed, but the 1st maintenance guy added so many chemicals it took the color out of the majority of my swim suit. Washed my daughter’s hoodie as she spilled chocolate on it and the stains did come off, but there were several black spots added. Return filter super dirty…..Probably hasn’t ever been replaced. Furniture all stained up, walls marked up. Hands down the most disgusting place I have stayed in and it was not cheap. Vacation cost us additional money as we planned on hanging out at the house a lot, but due to the circumstances we did not spend as much time as intended at the house. When running hot water, it makes a horrific high pitch screeching sound (ever heard a rabbit being attacked by a coyote? It’s awful, can be heard outside, I am surprised the neighbors haven’t complained. As of yet, no response to multiple emails I have sent. Nothing but disgusting all the way around the lack of TLC from this company for these homeowner’s homes…I would be furious.Review from David N

This is the first company to EVER ask for a photo copy of my credit card. It was said its for my protection. (Hmm BS) We stated at the "Carefree Daze" cabin, upon first entering we notice there was an Alexa with a camera... It has a camera that can be activated remotely so the owner/operator can see the people in the cabin. (I have pictures of this all) So now I see that me and company are being watched clothed or nude I turned the Alexa around. Be careful of any cabin this company operates, there may be hidden camera's. Now to the cabin,,,,only three forks, chips all over the floor, wrote my name in dust on top the frig, spider webs in every corner and light bulb. Someone came in our cabin on day two while we were out...... (That's VERY creepy) I complained and was told I would get a 15% discount on my next stay... 15% discount on my next stay?! No apology, no explanation about why there's cameras viewing me in my cabin. Nothing about how filthy the cabin was even though I am charged $150 for cleaning.. Hmmm The guy just said, Hey we'll give you 15% off your next stay. No thank you. My wife and I will stay in a hotel next time.. I do have a question. What website am I to look to see us naked on? We at Cabins of the Smoky Mountains are terribly sorry to hear of the service issues you had. We aim to provide the cleanest and nicest cabins in the area as well as exceptional customer service. While we are not perfect and things do happen, we try our best to always resolve issues.
We do offer virtual check in or check in at the office where the card that was used for payment must be provided. We do offer both options which makes it convenient when not wanting to travel to the closest local office to your cabin.
The Alexa tablet provided in most cabins is how you gain access to the free tickets that we provide each day of your stay through Xplorie. This is a great program and we hope that despite your feelings on the Alexa tablet having a camera that you were able to use some of these great perks you get access to from booking with us. We appreciate your feedback on this and we respect your privacy as our guest and do not use the tablets to do what is suggested above.
We are very sorry for any cleaning issues you experienced. We take all complaints seriously and had we been made aware of them during your stay we would have been more than happy to send a cleaning crew back out to address anything we could to make you happy or deliver supplies to you. We called you on the day after check in 12/15 to see how the stay was going but had to leave a voicemail. Unfortunately, you did not let us know anything about the cleaning issues or insufficient supplies until checkout and so we offered you a discount on a future stay due to the inconveniences.

I do not have a problem with the company per se. I have a problem with Bluebirds Over the Smokies Cabin. It was advertised as sleeping 20. There were a total of 10 towels and 8 bath cloths. There were no dish towels or dish cloths in the cabin. There was one couch (to seat 3) in the main living room. No chairs at all unless you used kitchen chairs. Downstairs there was 1 couch, no additional seating. The dishwasher (no dishwashing detergent) had dirty water in the bottom. There was no hand washing dishwashing detergent. No lights on the upper deck. Spiral staircase up to second level and down to lower level. This was shown in pictures so not really a false expectation but very difficult to get bags up and down. Floors were scratched and dirty looking. The company did offer me compensation even though that was not why I am complaining. This is advertised as a luxury cabin. It might have been 10 years ago but not now. In 20 years of making one or 2 visits to the area and staying in cabins from several rental agencies and VRBO this was the worst experience we have ever had.Cabins of the Smoky Mountains Response

We at Cabins of the Smoky Mountains are sorry to hear of the experience Mrs* ********* had at Bluebirds Over the Smokies specifically with the supplies, seating to accomodate guests, and just overall dissatisfaction with the cabin.
Since her stay we have resolved the issue with the dishwasher and appreciate her reporting this so we could resolve the issue. We also resolved all other issues within the property.
We will take the feedback on the seating and see if we can use it to make recommendations to the owner to improve future stays.
As Mrs. ********* said we did offer a partial refund due to the inconveniences she reported to us and we appreciate her patience and understanding on this. We hope she is able to come back in the future and enjoy one of our other properties that may be a better fit on what she is looking for. We will be happy to provide and host if we get the chance to do so.

Horrible, they called and cancelled our Cabin today when we are scheduled in 2 days. They claim the owners sold it and will not rent it out. This last-minute cancellation leaves us with very little options so close to the holidays. They claim they have no cabins available and don't know who does. Who does this to families?
