I had a 22 panel solar field installed in March 2023. In May of 2024 I notified them that there were 6 of the panels not working (3 microinverters had failed). Despite multiple emails, and phone calls to their after install service team (i have spoken to multiple service reps), there has been nothing done and we are now into August 2024. Their sales are top notch, their after Install care is non existent as far as I can tell. They have never even so much so called me back to tell me if or when things will be fixed. Buyer beware, I wish I had gone with a different company. The funny thing is i notice the full price of the agreement keeps coming out of my bank each month....Review from Sharon B

I have had nothing but headaches with Polaron... they don't do anything for you and it is so hard to get ahold of them... Everything was great, until it wasn't. I liked the Polaron proposal for a 20 solar panel system. I was asked for a $682.50 deposit to start a site assessment report. I was told by my salesperson, Zak Hannat, that if I did not agree with the results of the site assessment report, that I would get a full refund. ***** *** ** ***** I didn't like the way the heavy black wiring and connection boxes were going to deface the side of my building. Polaron management didn't seem to care that I was **** to by their salesperson and blamed me for not reading the fine print in the sales agreement. Initially I had a good rapport with Polaron, but that has gone sideways after I asked for specific information how the installation would interplay with my ******* power backup system. The installation needs to be done in a very specific manner so as not to damage the ******* generator when there is a power outage. If they can re-assure me how they will do the install I will move forward with them. If you have a home generator do your research before moving forward.Review from Richard C

Had system installed in Late July, In service in August. Last couple months it had cut what my payment was from the electric bill. I am sure it will not be that great this winter. Lets see what next year brings. As for the install, it is a process that takes time from the house inspection, to permits to install and hook up. Over all we were happen with the results so far. Time will tell if it was worth the cost. Over all it was a good experience.. as I am hard to please and very particular in the way things are done around my house lol... they were very professional.Review from Keith G

Polaron Solar is Awesome. Can't imagine anyone having any trouble with them. The Polaron Team was exceptional from first contact. I received a complete package within a day outlining the benefits and information pertaining to my home. I signed up and Polaron kept me well informed every step including completing the Green Home grant. I really had nothing to do except my signature and the application for the grant. The Solar system was installed earlier than the initial timeline and the grant confirmed. I was so impressed with the results I referred my Brother who had a system installed at his home and Polaron was kind enough to send me a 200.00 referral gift. Polaron handled everything from permits, installation and the net meter agreement. The system is working well and producing clean energy for my home. I can't believe how easy it was. The initial sales team was great, but once the project started there was delay after delay. After 4 months after our expected install date, it was installed, only problem is they didn't send the proper paperwork to ****** for a meter install, adding another month and a half. After service support seemed not to know what is going on, you will be on hold for 30-40 min before they answer if they answer at all. I have requested to speak with a manager of some sort to finally sort some of these issues out, requested 4 times through email and 3 times over the phone... no callback. * ***** ******* ***** ******** *** this is the worst experience I've ever had with a company. ** *** **** ** **** ******** * ********* ****** ******* ******** ***** *** **** *** ******Review from DavidG.

By far the worst experience with a company so far. With the exception of the initial contact and consultation aspect of the project the rest of the project was not great at all. Agreed design was not adhered to. When trying to resolve with the onsite techs and the install section they seem to have forgot how to speak good english. Mess was left onsite with screws scattered on driveway causing 2 flat tires. Cabling was not routed as was agreed on plan. System has been up for over 2 weeks with issues still not resolved and some panels not functioning. Put in a call for repair a week ago and so far all I got was a generic autoresponse and then an out of office response. I would think a new system should work. I would not recommend Polaron for your solar needs.Polaron Energy Corp Response

From our records, it looks like we received your first report on October 26th and the display error was quickly resolved that same day. On November 8th, we were made aware that one of the inverters unfortunately went down. Our team is aware and are working on replacing the inverter for you. Our standard service timeline is typically around 8-10 weeks as we do need to process the claim to get the replacement. However, we our team is trying our best to expedite this and have this issue resolved as soon as possible. There should not have to be a claim for a brand new install. Losing almost 10 percent of possible power output since installation with the degraded system. Was given a 3 day time window for repair 2 weeks ago but no one showed up with no explanation. And another thing, a rag is not a good choice of material item for filling a hole in my wall.Review from Todd D

******** **, 3 months late on the project deadline, crew damaged my property(drove over my eavesdropping) reported it to them and they simply ignored it. Since the finishing of my project they have told me that i'm on their sunline plan which is the 1% interest which when i spoke and emailed with there sales rep the option 3 interest free loan with a 1800$ deposit this is what was in agreement. i had called and emailed wanting to put this down but their customer service is worse than the Government of Canada. Spending 3-4 hours on hold and not getting answers or being able to get any project information. Getting any sorta information for government grants takes 3 months and it's not even complete. A lot of guess work. They are cheaper, but not by much and i can see why, they lack customer service. Pay the extra do not use these guys. I have been approached by many in my neighbourhood, as solar is popular in Alberta. i will not be recommending this company to any of them. or to anyone in Canada that i know
