I have been trying to contact these guys for about a month now. I call and leave messages, and even talk to people that tell me they are going to request a callback, never got a call back. I have a judgement on my credit report from them even after I’ve payed the full amount. ** *** ***** **** **** **** ***** *****The National Benefit Authority Corporation Response

We would advise Mr. ****** in this situation to please reach out to the collections agency that was handlining his file. A Judgement does typically stay on a persons report anywhere from 6-10 years depending on the clients province. If anything is needed to be signed with regards to confirmation of payment please do forward this to the agency for completion. Thank you .Review from Deborah lee mcnaul M

We are definitely saddened to read this review. Definitely not a description I would use for our company or any of the agents that do work at The National Benefit Authority . I would like to assure this client that this will be thoroughly investigated and reviewed. We pride ourselves on treating everyone with respect . Upon case review I can see that our agents have been trying to speak with your brother as he has a claim he may be entitled to. They have not been able to reach him so tried your number. I see that you have requested no more contact and I have updated the file according to respect your wishes. if you or your brother do wish to reach out to us we are always here to help you. We wish you and your family the very best and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thank you .Review from Gehan N

I was treated very poorly and this company took advantage of me and my ****** health. I am now put into collecetion, money that I did not recieve and after speaking to multiple people at NBA who assured me the situation was handled, it ended up into collections anyways without my knowledge . My case number is ****** . I was made aware as anyone else who goes on their website that you as a customer are guaranteed to only pay 30% fee when NBA recieves the funds. I did not recieve the funds because I was in a consumer proposal in thoes years and NBA knew about this because I was denied in thoes years when applying for NBA. The communication was very poor nobody called me , I was constantly on the phone trying to fix this problem. As a young person I filed a consumer proposal and after completing it it was like having a new life and I was starting to rebuild my credit . The NBA who claim they help disabled Canadaians just took that away from me and I'm now in the collection system which will affect my life once again. I been waiting to speak to a manager but they keep directing me to this collection agency. How can you charge your customers a fee they did not recieve? Why is this a guarantee on your website quote " Best of all if we don't succeed in recovering a disability tax credit refund or credit, our clients don't pay a cent. Guaranteed " How can you say this and charge me a fee on a credit I did not recieve, this is misinformation to the customer. False advertising and needs to be addressed because the customers are vulnerable disabled canadaians who can be more affected in my situation for the bad then the good. I can not pay $2821.62 on a credit of $8323.38 . I did not recieve This is unfair , misleading, unconstitutional. As a Canadian with a ****** disability this has had a huge impact on my life and I can't even function at work due to this kind of stress. This company has caused me further ****** health concerns now. I feel taken advantage of and it hurtsReview from Maxwell B

This company did help me with my disability claim for that I am grateful.I have been trying to get a hold of someone at the *** since February 2023 for a situation that has been ongoing, They referred me to a legal collection agency for money they said I owed them, the money was transferred / sent by **** back in 2017, the balance owing was in my husband and my name, the full amount was paid, I have all receives which I sent to the *** and THP. Yes my name appeared along with my husband who was sick at the time and wanted me to pay them, which I did. My husband has since passed away 2019 the death certificate they have. Stupid me I started paying the $150.00 a month for4 months and now they do not want to refund me my money. Not impressed this year.Review from H. A.

This company promise people of getting them money based on disability, also the company they paired with that called ****** ********, they made me sign documents and give them authoritrization on my canada revenue account to get me refund instead they put me in trouble with Canada revenue agency who started garnishing even my income tax return leaving me with nothing. ** *** **** *** ********* *** *****The National Benefit Authority Corporation Response

Whilst we appreciate Mr ******** reaching out ,upon review of his file we can see that although initial contact with our company was in 2017 at no point did Mr ******** agree to working with us and neither a client agreement or authorization form for CRA allowing us to act as his representative was signed. Our last contact with Mr ******** was October 2022 when he called in ,requested an update and was advised to contact Refund Services as we do not have a case started for him . We would advise this client to speak with Refund Services for further clarity and resolution. We wish him the best . thank you .Customer Response

What they are saying is not true I called the national benefit authority in 2022 and they told me they paired with a company called refund services. Then I was advised to give authority to them and I signed four forms online, I still have these forms, I signed these forms so they could deal with my CRA account and information for the purpose of getting refund, I did sign the forms online and instead of getting refund I was chased by CRA and they start garnishing my income tax benefits and some other refunds has been taken from me by CRA.Review from Frederick A

We thank Mr ******* for his comment but would like to advise that perhaps he is mixing the National Benefit Authority up with a different company . Interest was shown by Mr. ******* in using our company to apply for the Disability Tax Credit and paperwork was emailed out . However no agreement was signed or received .Our last call with Mr ******* was July 21st 2022 .Review from Patrick D. R

Applied Wednesday,Febuary 16, 2011, Case #74218, they took all my information . They email me several times and once they had what they needed they never contacted me again. They whore sending me mail and email saying that I could get $35,000.00 and I then one saying “ We remind you that if your application is approve by CRA, we estimate the claim will be worth $1621.93. In a different Case #****** they said now I wondering if their was any money credited to whoever was contacting me. It seem a bit fishy, maybe I should seek a lawyer to get the proper result from National Benefit Authority. Big promises with no result time to investigate this issue two Case number, why is it. Have most of the documents sent to me by NBAC.and also the greed for filling my documents 30% greed. Must be able to get at the bottom of this mess. I will wait to see what comes out of this with this review. November 18,2022The National Benefit Authority Corporation Response

Whilst we can understand the confusion and the concern of this client we would like to assure Mr. ****** that we had only 1 case for him. Case #***** that I can find in our records. Closed in 2016 at his own request. Mr. ****** advised us he would prefer to apply independently for the Tax Credit. Which is his right to do so. With reference to Mr. ******s concern about any money credited. We can assure him that the Canadian Revenue Agency would always refund the Taxpayer and not a third-party company. So certainly nothing has been claimed by us on his behalf. If Mr. ****** would like to speak to someone so that we can help further we would encourage him to do so. Thank you.Review from Tuncay S

The National Benefit Authority is disheartened to read the comment posted here. As a company that's been around for over 12 years, we have assisted 10s of thousands of Disabled Canadians and their family members receive money and credits from the government that they previously didn't even know they were entitled to.
Our clients can claim, with the help of our Tax experts at The National Benefit Authority refunds and credits from previously filed tax returns going as far back as 2013.
In response to the client's comment, if an accountant could have helped them with this, they already would have.
We encourage this client to call or email to discuss with us their concerns so we can come to a positive resolution.
