They were decent the 2 years I had them-which I paid for up front...well this year I decided not to renew because I don't have much grass anyways & wanted to focus on fixing my lawn. Well I did get a text/email from them stating that they were coming out which I thought was weird but I was on the phone with my ********* said she had just set up an appointment with ******** regularly will get texts about her stuff when we have the same services. Even when I called after they did come to my house they said "oh you have already paid for ** this year up front" when I was calling off my number which proves there is an issue in their system & this wasn't the first time this has happened. Well when I talked to them I explained I didn't want the service didn't pay for ********* said I was on an auto renewal I asked if I could get a copy of the **************** did send a UNSIGNED copy & said I verbally consented over the phone to which I replied asking if they record there calls to which I got no answer to my question. Well today I get an email threatening to pursue legal action against me over $80. Would love to hear from the owner here on why I am being required to pay for something I didn't request. To top it off last year I did pay my gate was locked more than half the ******** didn't call them & request they come back (which they do offer) so they made plenty of extra money off of me last year to be sending threatening messages over $80.

Each year our program/services renews from year to year and application to application unless we are notified. This has been in place since you became a client in April of 2021. This is stated on all estimates, renewal letters that each customer is sent every year. We also sent an email at the beginning of the *********** stating that services were starting as well as notifying you the day before a technician would be at your property via voicemail, text message and email with no response prior to the application being applied to your property . We apologize you are dissatisfied in any way but diligently tried to notify you but did not receive response.

Paid up front for service with credit card over phone in 2020, came home one day in March 2021 and there's a **** in my door. I call them and they tell me it's in their contract that they will continue service until you cancel. I never got a call, letter or e-mail letting me know when they were going to treat my lawn or more importantly that there was going to be an increase in price. They just came out and did it and assumed I would just pay for it after I already paid another company to treat my lawn. I'm surprised my grass isn't dead after being treated twice. They could e-mail to tell me that they're going to send my **** to collections and mess my credit up after I talked to one of their reps in March and she told me to disregard **** but they couldn't e-mail me to tell me when they were going to treat my grass so I could cancel. This company is a joke and like I told them I will never do business with them and every one in my family, my friends and co-workers will know how they do business. I'm a UAW Auto Worker with over 27 years of seniority and am in contact with over **** people through union meetings, UAW websites etc. I will make it a point to let be known not to do business with sam's turf care.

Sam's turf care endangered my dog and my children by dismantling a small wooden fence we had built to cover the large gap between the bottom of our gate and the ground. It should have not been taken apart and we should have been notified they could not perform services in our back yard because it was in the way OR the technician who decided to dismantle it should have taken 10 seconds to put it back together and push it against the gate again. If a company is going to come to your property you should be able to expect that property to look the way it was when that company leaves. No one should have to wonder if something at their property was taken apart and not put back together. If I had not noticed it had been moved my dog could have gotten out of my backyard. If I had gone out to play with my 3 young children and not noticed, one of them could have decided to go under the fence while I was in a different part of my yard. We have a secured back yard for a reason. We were also offered a call ahead but it isn't really a call ahead. It is a notification of what date they will be on your property with no time frame given. When I told them a call ahead would be nice I told them it would allow me to ensure my dog was not outside and I had time to clean up toys out of my yard. Luckily I noticed the truck and was able to let my dog inside and run out to pick up toys before the tech entered the back yard. But that was only because the tech happened to arrive as I was walking past my front windows. We do not consider this to be a call ahead and upon hearing my reasoning for a call ahead the company should have informed me that all they do is give notification of the day and that is it.Instead of making these issues right they refunded me because apparently asking for an actual call ahead and for their technician to not take property apart and not put it back together is too much for this company. They do not care about safety or courtesy.

Once you sign up for services with our company we email our clients to see if they need a call ahead. Below is the email sent:Setting up the package. Do you need a call, text or email ahead of time? We call the day before between 3-5 pm. Do you have Dogs? Gate? Any pertinent info/instructions the technicians needs to treat your property? Our company was not made aware of a make shift security gate on the property. The only information that was provided was the following:Two Gates Left side of the House the Gate is always unlocked and easier opening than the right side. The side by the neighbors is always locked As we stated in our emailed that was sent at the time you signed for services "We call the day before between 3-5 pm." Your service date was scheduled for Monday April 4th and we made 3 separate contact attempts to notify you that our team was coming to your property. Our team left a message, sent a text message and sent an email on Friday April 1st letting you know our technician would be at your property on Monday the 4th of April. We due offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. With that guarantee we either will redo the work until the customer is satisfied or refund them their money. However, due to the accusations you are accusing our company of and the make shift gate we do not feel we should send a member of our team to your property for a service call. We feel it is best to part ways. I do apologize that you are dissatisfied with our services and wish you the best of luck in finding a company that best services your needs. Our company did issue you a refund.

Used service for a full year. After last service (week of 3/14/22) I cancelled the service. Felt I was able to get better results myself. During the year I have not been without weeds. April 19th called office and spoke to Operations Manager, asked her what kind of warranty my last spray had. She stated since I cancelled my service they would not do anything. Called back giving her the choice to respray front yard or I would leave a bad review. She was fine with that. I see now from so many other comments I am not the only person to experience problems. My last service cost $52.77. Apparently sending someone to do my front yard again (what $26 of service because I only asked for front treatment), wasnt worth saving my bad review. Spoke to this woman twice today.

We appreciate your feedback, Cliff. Were sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your experience. On March 16th, your property was given pre-emergent treatment that contained a crabgrass preventer. The second application, overspray for broadleaf weeds, would have been applied approximately 30 days after your pre-emergent treatment. Customer satisfaction is a top priority for us, and wed love the opportunity to apply a second treatment, but because you are no longer a current customer we are not able to service your property.

I had a bad experience with Sam's Turf Care / ******************* I was a customer of ****************** when ****************** assumed services but retained the Sam's Turf Care name. I was very pleased with ******************. When Royal Lawn took over, service deteriorated very rapidly. I agree with ****** and ***** who left a customer review under Royal Lawn and I had the same issues. Seeding was terrible. Patches of lawn ripped up because of tractor. Too long to respond to issues and then wanted to overseed to satisfy me due to patches of lawn and ******** caused by too much chemical. Overseeding was done in August and I was told that this was a good time and if the seed did not come up now, they will come up next season. Two visits after they took over my lawn went from immaculate to terrible. I have pictures to show. In some spots, it appears they just sat the tractor there. I was told they would not use the tractor and the very next visit, they used it again. Office associate got upset because I called in wanting service that I paid for. This is a shortened review. I actually have three pages. Again, I was please with Sam's Turf Care, paid my **** at the beginning of each season to pay for entire season. I even recommended two neighbors to use ********** and they did. I do not recommend this new Sam's Turf Care / Royal Lawn. I filed this review under Royal Lawn also.
