Kansas City Life Insurance is demanding all therapy notes and office notes from **** *****r (my therapist). I have authorized and submitted a summary of therapy notes (That included summarized personal details of our conversations.) and all medical records including procedures, diagnosis, and all office visits notes, and notes from my psychologist. Kansas City Life Insurance continues to demand the full therapy notes that I have been told are confidential. (From what I have researched, they have no rights to ask for). They continue to be rude to my therapist and myself. These notes are my personal information. From my understanding it is illegal for them to ask for these. I have nothing to hide, but I haven’t seen these notes myself. I am advocating for all patients of mental health to insure the right to privacy in this situation. Please help.
