USELESS customer service for my claim. I started my claim in December 2023 via the claim portal which failed after I spent hours converting documents to PDF and uploading them. I had been told it was the only way to file. Then they gave me an outdated mailing address for the claim which resulted in further delays. Did they not know their entire company had moved?!? I supplied dozens of documents and, over a period of SEVERAL MONTHS, I called and emailed multiple times trying to be sure they had everything they needed to complete my claim. I finally had to get a 3rd party involved to try to resolve the claim. 6 MONTHS after filing they finally supplied a list of documents I had to get from hotels, airlines, etc. I called, emailed, etc each vendor trying to get what IMG wanted, but by this time, no one could be bothered to provide documentation from over 6 months ago. The final settlement was hundreds of dollars below what I am due but the worst part was the dozens of hours of wasted time and effort trying to get IMG to answer questions. Avoid at all costs.Review from Satish B

These guys reject every claim saying that is a preexisting even though the hospital provider says it is not!! They even reject ambulance services. What a scam, totally avoid these guys!!! Save your hard earned money!!! this insurance always says that the condition is pre-existing, see the attached picture, Even the doctor says the condition is not pre-existing, this insurance rejects all our claims, read other reviews before you buy.Review from Thu S

So unprofessional and lots of continuously delays, delays in their reply to my dad claim for services he received when he was sick traveling abroad. IMG should have their business license revoke from where they conduct business both in the state of ******* and *********. Compliants must be file online with the state attorneys office in all the state that they are licensed to conduct business in and with states that they are able to underwrite travel policy. We are still waiting for them to deny our claim that was filed on 4/25/24 and all of their actions is pointing towards their actions of not wanting to fulfill their dereliction duty to paid out on their travel policy with terms they had advertised to consumer. We will also go after them for fraudulent business practice if and when they give us the denial on my dad's legitimate claim.Review from Mark S

THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Here is my story. I have IMG's Global Bronze 2 global health insurance. Since 2021 no less. I am an-expat living in ******. I tripped and fractured both my tibia and fibula Jan 09, 2024. A nasty spiral fracture that required surgery and internal fixations. IMG received (via their internet portal) my THOROUGHLY documented claim Jan 25. 2024. That is 95 business days ago. I have since even emailed them my actual credit card statements showing where I have paid all the submitted procedures, (Even though the paid receipts were clearly sent at the beginning). I have since made 10 phone call inquiries with the same "it is under review" blah blah blah. They have had plenty ample time to review and pay my claim but they willfully choose NOT to. And the worst part is, I am still at their mercy. I also , just now , made a formal complaint to the ***************** Commissioner. I did not want to write this review NOR submit a formal complaint but they left me no recourse. You have been warned.Review from Ali Y

Worst ***************** out there!! STAY AWAY from this company they are a total scam! Parents were visiting the ** from overseas and three days after arriving my father had a heart attack. They purchased travel insurance with a pre existing condition rider for extra protection to be safe so they thought. After being discharged all the claims were denied. The reasoning was the patient had a pre existing condition which he didn't, and even if he did the policy should have covered. The second reason provided was the charges were above the maximum so they cover none of the expense. How does that make sense?!? What a joke!Review from Emilia O

I host international students and this is the worst part of it. A student suffered an injury and needed an MRI and physical therapy twice a week for 6 weeks. Every time a claim was filed, we will get an email asked for the doctors orders and more information. We submitted the documentation. Then we had to wait 45 days for them to REVIEW the claim, at which time, they will find something else missing and the counter starts again. The latest happened this week. A claim was submitted on 1/04/2024. They processed it on 2/29/24 and we got an email requesting documentation. We submitted the paperwork on 3/1/24 and got an email acknowledging they received the information. On 4/12 we called to follow up. They told us we had to wait 45 days. Today we called again only to find out that they REVIEWED it on 4/19 and we needed new doctors orders. So now, we have to go back and request the orders, submit, and wait another 45 days. The worst part is that you cannot talk to a supervisor and the customer service is doing their best with very limited information so they cannot properly help the customers. This is the WORST insurance company. A complete scam that relies of tiring the customer so they dont have to pay.Review from Mustapha D

Its a scam compagny. They deny all submitted claims and label it as '"pre existing condition". When you appeal the decision, they request to submit your gouvernement complete medical record of the last 3 years showing that you never had a similar situation. If you fail, they denied to receive the appeal. In my case, my wife had an E. coli urinary infection, they label it as 'pre existing condition'. any one in the medical field know that bacterian infection are not labeled as 'pre existing condition', otherwise they are labeled as 'Acute condition' that need antibiotic treatement.Review from Melissa R

I was in ******** on vacation and was misdiagnosed in urgent care with acid reflux. Got to Sydney and had to have emergency surgery because a gallstone was blocking my duct which caused my liver to become infected. IMG denied my claim saying it was a pre- existing condition which is false. They can look at my health records back from 3 years and will find nothing about my gallbladder. Do not use this company!!!!!!Review from Ramaswamy N

The process for claim refund process has been very onerous and disappointing experience. The customer service was unfriendly and rude often times. Despite submitting lots of forms I kept getting a form email asking for proof of date of cancellation from the airlines. The airlines send emails indicating that the allowable refund has been approved; but obviously do not provide me with an invoice of cancellation in one nice and easy page like *** wanted to see. But, putting together the emails from the airlines as well as the credit card statements with dates of refund and original tickets, surely the claims department should be able to put two and two together. It almost looked like AI was reviewing the claims rather than a human being. Each time to my query, I got a form e mail indicating the standard reply rather than keeping on asking me the same question- proof of actual date of cancellation. Have they not travelled and cancelled the trip sometime in their life? Have they dealt with airlines for such a proof simply to get ignored or lost in the Cyberspace? This is what is a friendly and efficient service? I have, after nearly 3 months (several repeated inquires and emails) gotten the refund, but after very frustrating experience. I have been travelling over 40 years and have used many other travel insurance companies. Never had this terrible and frustrating experience. Surely the *** and their customer service can do better.Review from Khawaja B

I am a physician whose parents were visiting the US. My mother happened to get sick acutely. All of her claims were denied. It took them a whole year with 2 different reviews to come back with the same reason. This was a pre existing condition. I never got an explanation with ICD codes or medical diagnoses. Never spoke to a physical person who actually could tell me what exactly in her medical record was pre existing. I work at the same hospital. All the MDs who treated her will testify in court. Nothing in her presentation was pre existing.I know how the US healthcare system works and this insurance is a huge scam. I am obviously taking them to court. But just for anyone out there wanting to use this as a reliable insurance for their family; please look elsewhere. I am an advocate for my patients and I am currently in the process to report them to different agencies where they advertise including Insubuy. They took a whole year of harassing my elderly parent. They will obviously have to pay. Its going to be long and tiring but if it can save other people who arent as fortunate to pay off huge medical bills. I would be happy.
