We could write a book about our experience with RM Larkin Custom Homes. But to sum it up if you want to work with a professional company and you want a well-built custom home avoid RM Larkin Custom Homes, and any subsidiaries D*** and/or **** Larkin may operate, at all costs. If you need more proof, check out their current civil cases in Indiana for misrepresentation of construction funds, negligent representation of services, and multiple defaults in paying subcontractors and business loans.During our time with Larkin, we had three companies file liens on our property due to Larkin not paying their subcontractor bills even though we paid Larkin upfront for those goods and services. In addition to the three officially-filed liens, we paid three subcontractors ourselves to avoid additional liens. We had issues with Larkin and his crew from the pouring of the basement concrete to us finally firing him nine months after our contracted move-in date. We currently have a nine-page typed report of major problems still unaddressed over the course of our build. Unless youre willing and able to pay a lawyer, fire Larkin, finish a home yourself, and fix all of their mistakes they are not going to be a viable option for you. We are only writing this because we wish reviews like this were public two years ago, it would have saved us so much time, money and overall peace of mind.
