Charges totaling $20,030 were paid to Clearchoice in Indianapolis in December when dental surgery was scheduled. In early January, this surgery was canceled due to other health issues. When the credit hadn't been issued within two weeks, I filed a dispute with my credit card company so I wouldn't have to pay the charges since they were being refunded in full on my credit card. (There was $5k in non-refundable charges which were paid by my Care Credit.) After three weeks, a full credit was issued to my credit card, but they also mistakenly issued me another credit for $15,030. On January 30, I paid back the credit issued in error of $15,030 and paid an additional $8,000 for a new procedure that we had just scheduled. That new procedure was performed and everything is fine with the service. We are paid in full and no further funds should be exchanged. Clearchoice is now contesting the dispute with my credit card company from last month stating they want the funds back from December (even though the surgery was cancelled and a full refund was issued). They want to get the $20,030 re-issued to them dated December and are offering to refund the money right back to me in February. Their only reason for wanting to do this is to claim income in a prior year which they are not ***********. I've called their corporate office three times and were promised return calls by management but nobody has ever called me back.Their local office assured me that if they can get the funds back for December, then they will issue me a refund right away in February. But if they are allowed to backdate these funds to December, I will get charged interest on $20k for two months that I shouldn't owe. Can you investigate this company and prevent them from committing fraud at my expense?
