      I took this course last year and passed the exam. The instructor was both knowledgeable and professional. I was a little worried about taking this course online because I had no prior knowledge of the insurance business. I would highly recommend The Adjuster School. Work hard and study when class is over. Take notes and ask questions. The instructor made the course fun and engaging.

      I strongly recommend the online classroom training from this company. The instruction is clear and to the point. After struggling through flash cards from other sources, this classroom instruction added much needed context to the information I was learning. I was able to pass the test with a 90%. I am looking forward to the software training next month.

      The course is only slides with endless walls of text with no way to print them out. If you are a note taker like myself it would take you a lot of extra time to make enough notes to be able to pass the exam, which is time that could be better spent actually preparing for the exam. There is also no study guide, only quizzes between chapters. I emailed them asking if there was a way I could get a document version of the course to print out as I planned to keep them for reference when I actually started the job-- they emailed back saying there was nothing they could do. This is also something they do not tell you up front BEFORE you start the course. Had I known this, I would not have even started. According to their policy you cannot have a refund after you've started the course. This policy is found on their website, but not easily. I had to look around the site after the fact and find it. How would you know the course works for you unless you start it? You can't. Their policy for refunds allows them to keep their payment regardless of student fit or circumstance. In my opinion, this policy should be changed to something more reasonable. It makes online students feel like this was just a money grab and that their learning takes a backseat to the bottom line: money. They also tried to tell me I had been on the course 20 HOURS-- maybe that's what their metrics say but there's absolutely no way that's correct. I was in the material maybe an hour before I realized this course design wasn't for me. If you're planning on their online class, I encourage you to save your money and use a different school. I bought this class excited to learn and pivot careers. I am fully aware of my responsibility as a student to put the work in, and will gladly do so. A school is meant to make learning easier, not harder.

      The Adjuster School values all of our student’s training experience! We have been in business for almost 20 years and have acquired the reputation as one the top training schools nationwide for adjuster licensing training. As a result of our gold standard training, our courses are utilized by several major insurance companies nationwide. The format of our online courses does not allow students to print the course material. However, students are allowed to take notes. This has been the format for our online course for almost 20 years and we have not had any prior issues with the format. We sincerely understand Ms. *******’s grievances with the course format and our refund policy. She has expressed via email her grievances with our online course format and our refund policy. Per her email, she inquired if the online course material was printable; she had gathered information from someone else that our material was not printable; and lastly she wanted a refund because she had purchased a course with another school. We have correspondent with Ms. ******* twice via email and Merchant Services Chargeback Process in regard to her grievances. We advised her via email that the material was not printable and that based on our company refund policy we could not issue a refund because she had started/logged 20hours 44 mins. in the course. Perhaps, we could have considered a refund if she had not accumulated over 20 hours in the course before she decided that she no longer wanted to continue with the course. We included in the email a copy of her time from the portal to validate her time spent accessing the course. Thereafter, Ms. ******* submitted a chargeback to Merchant Services in disagreement with our refund policy. We provided documentation to Merchant Services that validated our company policy is on our website (https://theadjusterschool.com/our-policies/), the policy is provided during the checkout process in “terms & conditions”, and can be found on the student login home screen in our portal that reads - “all courses started are non-refundable no exceptions”. In addition, we provided to Merchant Services reports that showed her total time spent in the course and course progression. Based on both parties information provided, Merchant Services reversed the chargeback in our favor. Again, we are sorry that Ms. ******* is disappointed that she could not print the material and/or receive a refund. We would like to sincerely extend to her the option to transfer to our LIVE Webinar with an instructor. This option will provide her with an instructor lead training session in which she can engage in course material with an instructor and other students. We will apply her online course fee already paid and she can just pay the difference. She is welcome to contact our office to further discuss and/or we can contact her if she would prefer. The Adjuster School would like to thank the BBB for allowing us to respond but, also to extend to Ms. ******* an alternative training option.
