      Grasten Technologies was recommended to me by someone I know and trust. They installed a home generator for me in August, 2023. At that time I selected an annual maintenance contract. The generator worked like a charm during the power outage due to Hurricane Beryl. Absolutely everyone at the company has been a pleasure to work with. From the original salesman to the installers, to the maintenance people, to the office personnel that I have had contact with, they all have been extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous. It has been a pleasure dealing with them. I highly recommend Grasten Technologies to anyone considering a home generator.

      Our generator works well and we've enjoyed the power during several outages. However, communication is difficult, finding the right person to talk to and getting a reply. Right after Beryl my wife and I smelled gas; we attempted to call Grasten but their message box was full. I sent a text and they responded with a call the next day. I explained the problem, not saying it was an emergency (they had waited several days after installation to fix a gas leak). The service tech arrived before the end of the day, sat in the shade in his vehicle across the street and knocked on our door at 4:59PM. I explained the problem (he thought it was an oil leak); he confirmed a gas smell at first, sprayed soapy water on everything, twice, and said I didn't have a leak. The first person to call for the service insisted I pay $225 before any service. The technician was at our house for a total of 15 minutes. I emailed Joshua to see if we could get an adjusted (i.e., refund) for some of the $225 (equals $900 per hour), he claimed other generator people charged even more. No refund received. Totally outrageous (and their office is only 6 miles from our home).

      We have the guys working overtime to keep up with demand. This is a 3 plus year old generator. We have a 2 yr labor warranty. IF we found a gas leak we would have waived the trip charge but there was no gas leak. The $225 trip charge doesn't even cover the overhead required to service you. We truly understand your frustration and please know we have the fairest pricing in the industry.

      Fact Check: This is not a “3 plus” year old generator with a 2-yr labor warranty. The generator proposal was signed and down payment made on 10-15-21 and the generator was installed 07-13-22. Later Generac informed me that I qualified for a 5 year “parts, labor, and limited travel” warranty which was verified by email Customer Experience Technical Representative Heather *. on 07-11-24. While the generator was installed in July it was not working properly due to a gas leak during installation, a subsequent service call which attempted to remedy the leak, and a final, successful service call by the same technician on 08-31-22 fixed the leak. As you can see the generator was only working properly on 08-31-22, hardly “3 plus years” old. This is all a smoke screen by the Owner Respondent and really has nothing to do with the issue. The issue remains the exorbitant $225 service fee paid upfront during which the technician spent 15 minutes on site and did not find the leak. My wife and I smelled gas, confirmed, initially by the technician, who found nothing was leaking. I certainly don’t mind paying for service received. I do mind playing the full-service fee for 15 minutes of the technician’s time plus travel (Business is located 6 miles from my home). I requested an adjustment from Grasten and it was denied. I have paid some hefty fees for other professional services and labor but Grasten’s billing is outrageous as is their willingness to acknowledge it. Moreover, Grasten Power Technologies web pages claims that the “Service Team is Proud Members of: 5 Star rating with the BBB.” However, BBB reports a NR rating: “This business is not BBB Accredited.” That same page provides interesting reviews with a 3.67/5 average rating by 9 Customer Reviews.

      It is with extreme gratitude that I share this review of Grasten Power Technologies. I’ll start by saying we’ve been customers of Grasten since 2021 and they have ALWAYS done a terrific job. On this particular situation, our power went out due to Hurricane Beryl. Immediately our Generator kicked in and was working great. On day 3 we Decided we’d better check the oil level since it was running non stop. Once we went to restart, it would not restart and after consulting with Generac hotline to troubleshoot we discovered the keypad that is needed to startup has gone bad and we needed that component. On a normal day this would not have been a problem to find but during a major natural disaster it was next to impossible. Luckily Josh at Grasten called us back at 7pm that same day and was able to secure the part for us. My husband was able to pick it up and Josh walked him through set up and install over the phone. Our generator is now back in working order. We are so pleased and grateful for Grasten and their level of service to their clients and our community. They are professional and working tirelessly during this difficult time to get us all back and running!

      We used Grasten Power Technologies to install a whole home generator in Spring 2024. Start to finish we were VERY pleased. From the first call to inquire about the generator to the generator running during Beryl, there were no hiccups. We are thankful for the timely and efficient service provided.       I have been a customer of Grasten Power Technologies since 2009. I have always experienced the highest level of service and am very pleased with their promptness in scheduling the service appointments when due. I have an ongoing contract with them for 2 service visits a year and obviously I wouldn't be continuing with them this long if I wasn't totally satisfied with the levels of service this company provides.

      I usually don’t have time to leave a review because I have 5 children with 4 of them being under 5 years old and one being autistic; but since Grasten Technologies decided it was okay to take advantage of me, I have decided to make the time to review. First of all, I’d like to say that the communication was non-existent as soon as I paid my deposit (text are between me and sales rep in pic). Their contract states 4-6 week to begin installation, I haven’t even heard from anyone on the 6th week to even let me know what’s going on. I wish that I would have been able to cancel and go my separate ways. Secondly, just about every time their contractors came out, they broke something. They destroyed my yard (I spent $1500 recently for new grass), one of the reps that came out he warped my door that opens (fence is about 2 months old), he apparently just kept pushing on it since there is a specific way to open it. Lastly, the electrician was dishonest, there was a outlet where they put the transfer switch that was going to be removed but it was covered up; I found out after the outlet tripped since it is on a GFCI circuit, I have two other outlets on the outside of the house that currently have no power (see contract where it says they are supposed to remove outlet). The electrician that came out and said he removed the outlet but he wasn’t even the original electrician that did the install. If Grasten responds that they complete the task of removing outlet, please provide pics since y’all take pic of everything anyways so you can process your loans with subpar work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as they are dishonest and don’t stand behind their product.

      Grasten installed a 24kw ******* standby generator at my house, with a start-up date of 8/16/2023. The generator has been required twice in the first 30 days and worked flawlessly. Working with Grasten was a great experience because they are knowledgeable and friendly. They took time to explain different options (gen size, location, code) and I never felt any sale pressure at any point. They handle everything, and I was thankful they did because there is a lot of steps to install a generator. City permits, utility marking, coordinating with gas company to upgrade meter to name a few. I decided to move forward with the purchase on 7/14, it only took a few days and I received a proposed timeline. Just over two weeks later my generator was dropped off. A couple days after that their plumber and electrician came by and did a great (and clean) installation, they took the time to make everything look great even though the unit is hidden. Gas line pressure test passed on first try and we received no comments from the city inspector. A few days later the generator was started and inspected by their technician, who then gave me a great "new owner" introduction to the unit. I'm really happy with the whole experience and thankful we have a backup power solution. I would definitely recommend Grasten to anyone in the market for a generator or service. Thanks to the Grasten team for getting me set up so quickly!

      After giving a unfavorable review, the owner of the company, called me to resolve the issue. I was impressed that the owner of the company called me. Issue was resolved. I owe it to the company to write this review to override the past review I gave them.

      Original Review: Not honoring signed maintenance contract. Contract calls for Grasten Power Technologies LLC to come out every 6 months to service my generator. It has been 7 months now and they have not come out to service my generator. This has happen time and time again.

      Recently perched a ******* *enerator from GRASTEN POWER Technologies LLC Conroe. Generator was installed and gas line was put in. However, the generator gas line is not connected to the meter. When signed contract I was assured that it would that two weeks ass gas line installed for ****** ***** to connect. Just learned tha.t now it would be connected sometime around the 29 of November, maybe. This is not acceptable and should be corrected ASAP. I will contact ****** for assistance. I am not happy with the service GRASTEN POWER Technologies LLC has provider.

      Ordered a Kohler 38 CLR generator 10/5/2021 with a 30-34 week install time frame. Unit was delivered on 7/28/2022. The unit was installed on August 23, 2022 installation was completed after numerous problems with gas leaks, electrical issues and scores of problems. I paid in full and proceeded to register my new Kohler 38 RCL generator. Plugging in the Model# 30 RCLA. I thought this could not be possible! After all of this time they installed the wrong generator! I call to inform them of their mistake the response I received was, "it was just human error". From then on not so nice conversation. They could work on their customer service! Finally, an agreement was reached as Grasten wanted me to keep the generator that was mistakenly installed. I thought I was finally done with them since they removed the 30 and replaced it with a 38 RCL BUT NO. I found out that they installed a PSP a 3rd party part that was not a Kohler product. Meaning no warranty from Kohler if this part goes bad and the generator no longer works Because it is not a Kohler product. Josh Keller told me that installing that PSP on a Kohler system was industry standard BUT Kholer does not see it that way? Grasten could have chosen to install a RXT transfer switch made by Kohler but chose a less expensive part made by a third-party vendor. I have spoken to Kohler about this problem, so they sent out an inspector to check out the installation of my Kholer generator. The inspection results, although the generator works it is not installed according to Kholer's specifications so the warranty could be in question since Grasten did not use all Kholer parts for the installation. I call in a 2nd inspector which concluded the same results. An extremely unhappy customer!

      We tried our absolute best on this situation. At startup it was noticed the generator was the wrong size. The gen that was delivered was mislabeled as the unit delivered is the same footprint/style as the gen customer ordered. Once the issue was pointed out, we realized the proper size was 2 months back ordered. To offer a solution to our mistake we offered to let the customer keep the wrong generator so she would have backup power in the event of a power outage. This generator was capable of running her entire house including all 3 of her ac units. Customer agreed to keep the gen and let us swap it out when the correct one was received. She also had an open balance of $12,000 at the time as well as a working generator. When the new unit was received 6 weeks later, the customer delayed by asking for $10,000 for her pain and suffering. She then hired a lawyer who we explained the situation to and she agreed to let us finish the install. After many months of delay from the homeowner we were finally able to sway to the correct gen. The pad, electrical, and gas lines were all compatible as they were intended for the larger generator the whole time. Customer thinks we were being deceptive but this was a honest mistake that kept the owners up many nights., We tried to do what was fair but there was not mending the customer relations.
