If I could give a "0" starts review, I would. I used Electric City in August of 2022, and after careful consideration decided to go ahead and write a review. DO NOT use this company. The crew that came out, went through our home doing a "free" full electrical inspection of our home - this took 3 hours, then spent another hour in their van writing the quote. Came back in and quoted replacing our entire electric panel which, "Was not up to code." We hadn't asked for that. I had written a full scope of the work we needed. It had been years since we'd hired an electrician, and my husband and I thought maybe this is now how they are doing business? The two workers were so nice, it was like you felt bad for questioning their integrity. Was charged sales tax for a "Lump-Sum" contract - which basically means they will not separate the costs of parts and labor on the contract. This is against the law in Texas, and had to get the Texas Comptroller's office involved to get this money back from the company. While we also paid for a celing fan install, they they didn't complete that day, I am willing to lose that money so they never enter my home again. I cannot reiterate enough the unethical behavior of this company; truly all these men should be ashamed of alluding to "problems" in the homes where they give quotes, that simply are not there.

I paid $89 for a young technician to quote me $$11,419 to replace an electric panel and add **** ********** to some of the outlets in my home. This was after my home had been flooded by a negligent roofing crew. I am shocked at how unbelievably arrogant and dishonest these people are. The tech said the only way for me to be safe was to pay that much money to replace the panel and add the shock protection. What a ripoff! Do not use Electric City!

Buyer Beware! High pressure sales tactics, demanding items, not required or in excess of requirements. Canceled job after receiving two additional bids from certified electricians who stated that Electric city‘s quote was “absolutely ridiculous.” A job that was quoted by Electric City to be in excess of $6000 was a $1200 fix. After work was completed by Katy Electric electrician the Texas State Certified Real-estate inspector came out signed off and said that was all that was needed.

Had Brendan ****** and Carry ***** come by my home yesterday to look at several outlets in my home that were not charging devices. Both came timely and were very professional and courteous in their demeanor. They looked at the outlets in question and then went to the circuit breaker in my home’s garage. They also looked at the other outlets in my home and the smoke detectors. Gave me an in-depth, but easy to understand, diagnosis of what was wrong with the current circuit breaker setup and breakers in it and how that was causing the outages with the affected outlets. Also recommended I install a GFCI in my downstairs bathroom. Gave me good options and prices to get the problems corrected and went to work that same evening, finishing everything within 45 minutes. Also gave me the option to enroll in their Total Care Club, which I enrolled in, as it is a great package with many benefits, such as free smoke alarm battery replacement, priority scheduling, annual electrical inspections, waiver of dispatch fees, and loyalty discounts. Was definitely happy I used this company to take care of my home’s electrical needs. Would recommend to anyone who is need of these services
