While the videos and questions made the course easy. I have to give a 1 star review because at the end when getting the certificate. I selected the mail option specifically because it was free. However, after i passed that page, it asked for my card info. I tried to go back to make sure the settings i put were the same, but it wouldn't let me. Kept bringing me to inputting my card if I wanted the certificate. Thinking it wouldn't charge me like it said, I did, but then it charged me $25 and changed the certificate delivery to instant download. Something I SPECIFICALLY DID NOT CLICK. Just something to keep in mind when using this course.

I would first like to warn that the website stores your password in plaintext. I verified this by clicking "forgot password" and they sent an email to me that contained my password instead of a link to reset it. Normally passwords are encrypted on a database so not even the site's host can know what your password is. I work IT and understand that this is a very serious issue. This makes the website a significant attack vector for hackers to steal your password, so if you use this website MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A NEW AND UNIQUE PASSWORD! I would also recommend seeing about scrubbing your information off of the website ASAP after your ticket is dealt with. Now onto critique of the service: Website advertises "lowest price", but if you want to take the video course they tack on $10 extra to the price. If you would like to be able to download and print your certificate it also costs an additional $25 while somehow having them ship your certificate to you is free. If you would like to take this course and not pay extra you need to take it early enough that your certificate can ship to you before you need to finalize your citation and take the text-based course instead of the video course. Additionally they offer to send you your driving report for $27.50+tax. In the state of Texas, where I took this course, you can download and print this from the state directly for $12. Additionally the content is very outdated and as a result the audio quality isn't great. On top of this some of the cast in the video course will mumble instead of enunciating clearly. If you have trouble hearing or with speech recognition you may need to replay certain sections or may fail to even understand what's being said at all. If you struggle at all with this I would recommend either looking for another course or sticking to the text-based course. While the course is straight forward (video version) I am very displeased with the deception behind the certificate. The video course itself is $35. Which when you purchase any course you typically get a FREE online certificate for immediate proof of completion. However, I was in SHOCK and AWE when I completed the course and they wanted another $25 for a instant certificate download. So of course I opted for the “free” copy of the certificate that they will mail to me. However, this is unacceptable from a professional point of view. I will make sure to advise anyone to seeking defensive driving to stay clear of this company.

This is the first and last time I will be using this company. Their advertising is very deceiving. They advertise for a $25 course, they charge you 35. They say either download the certificate and have it mailed. When you choose to download at the end, then there is another 12-dollar fee to download it and free to mail it!!!! So all and all, you end up paying almost $50 for the course. They are not upfront with costs at all. They have you sign up, go through the process, and tell you everything at the end when it's all set and done. Oh, and get this, they charge $27 for getting your DMV records and if you do it your self you only pay $12. Please don't use this company and go somewhere else. I have never ever had a problem with taking this course like I have with them. After calling them, all they did was refund me $10 and now I have to wait for my certificate to come in the mail which I have plenty of time to wait for. The reason they charge for the certificate at the end is because they know people are procrastinators when it comes so this and will pay all the fees to get things sooner. This strategy has been well studied and is being played out on people. IF I COULD PUT 0 STARS I WOULD RUN!RUN!RUN

So I am unsure if this has anything to do with them, but once I registered, I was charged by them, then an hour later a fradulent charge on my credit card, and then I started to recieve over 300 emails to my email account all of which were fradulent sign - ups for newletters and joining website's etc, these were all asking for me to confirm my email subscription. Then about an hour and a half later - two fradulent charges were attempted on my credit card for around 2k, both were declined by my cc, but I had to report the fraud and hence cancel my credit card. I called the company and they assured me they don't "sell my information to any one", which could be legit. I simply said you may be getting hacked and someone is stealing your information on your server and using it to do fradulent charges and fradulent email subscriptions. She said I am sorry we have nothing to do with this - and simply tried to hang up on me, I simply asked her to report it to see if maybe something is happening they don't know about she told me this is the first she heard about it, and was sure it wasn't them .... well how do you know until you check or report the issue to someone who can check? They seemed non-chelant and didn't really care about this issue, but it's huge to me, and could potentially lead to many more people being affected, this is bad customer service and should be taken seriously.

I finished the course and ready to get my certificate. At check out page, the page does not show that instant download would cost any money. That page just kept asking you to click the button. When i choose "1-click" button, my credit card was charged $25. It was charged without my approval. They refused to give me the credit back even after i explained that the charge is not transparent on the certificate delivery page. So, folks PLEASE PAY ATTENTION ON THE CERTIFICATE DELIVERY PAGE. It is a trick. So even though it advertise at $25, they tried to trick you for more money. A lot of other courses also charge $25 with same quality, so you better choose other courses and not this one. Good luck.

HIDDEN FEES! Purchased the advertised $25 defensive driving course, sat through the 6 hour course, and only then was told I would have to pay ANOTHER $25 to download my certificate. They 100% intended to withhold this information and make it hard to find on their website. ABSOLUTE SCAM. Other websites offer a better learning experience and allow for FREE download of the certificate at the end. Please do not give this company your business.
