If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been a client of Webster Bank for over 30 yrs. This will be my last month with these thieves. They used to be customer orientated. Now it's let's see how many overdraft fees they can charge you. They put your payments through, tell you have a positive balance. Then, a week or so later you suddenly have those very same checks that went through on a POSITIVE balance are now negative and not paid. Then they charge you to death with overdraft fees. Taking almost half of the next monthly check to pay for those unfair, confusing fees. I never had issues before the lastest takeover. They knew I am disabled, on a vert limited income with monthly health expenses I cannot avoid. They alway took this into consideration when dealing with my account simply because I do not have any other income. On average, I was usually only three charges overdraft amount to less than $100. Of course the outrageous overdraft fees would kick me up to the $200 range. I always had my account in good standing simply because my monthly check was a SSI check, now a S.S. guaranteed income EVERY MONTH ON THE SAME DAY. Now they could care less. They have made a lot money off me over the last 30 yrs. A LOT. Now since they are more concerned with money and share holders than the customers like me (whom they make an enormous amount of money from). This is sad. I hate to dump Webster after all of these years but they leave me no choice. So kiss that $4800 you were pretty much stealing from their physically disabled client anyway. It comes down to simple greed on their part. I paid all of those overdraft fees over the last 30+ years because they were my fault. The last 8 months since the buy out I've paid more than I ever have due to those fees that are no longer reasonable. Now they refuse to pay what they first paid out on a POSITIVE balance. If you say they are paid, PAY THEM. YOU GOT MORE THAN YOU DESERVE OFF ME. NO MORE!!! July is my last month with you.
