    I think I was scammed by Barbara Wilson at affordable Paradise. I rented a studio at ********************* In ******. Sept 5 2023- Oct 5, 2023. As soon as I booked I was contacted and asked I wouldn't mind changing rooms. ( As soon as I booked, it seems that someone else wanted the same room for a longer period) This was worked out and I felt comfortable with having my original booking. Just days before I was due to arrive the owners of the property called and relayed to me that due to unforeseen circumstances,construction going on next door to their home would limit my accessibility to my original reservation and possibly cause disturbance due to noise. They asked if I would mind going to another room and I was assured that it was another studio with all the same basic features. It was not. The room was quite small. What was called a kitchenette was not! There was no sink. I was told that I could use the bathroom sink as a kitchen sink if need be. Just be careful not to clog it up. The room was 91. I had that vision in my head by looking at their remote for their ceiling fan and by the sweat pouring off my brow . It was simply unacceptable. 91. I could not stay. Because Barbara Wilson at affordable paradise is an integrated host at VRBO, I did not get a full refund as expected. I am out over $1,000 for flying to Oahu only to discover that my reservation was not as depicted. Extremely disappointed. Very cleverly written description of the hot box there and was really deceived. There was no full disclosure. The room was hotter than I could believe. I spent over$3,700 with affordable paradise only to be shorted out of my full expenses paid $1,016. I would not recommend. Because there seems to be quite a corner on the market with affordable paradise, I would not recommend any of their rental establishments. I fear that I would be ripped off again. The owners of the property. Dayna& ******* Even refused my full refund. So terribly disappointed.Not Pono. No Aloha. Don't rent.

    Affordable Paradise Bed and Breakfast Response

    ************************** had booked the Tiny House in ****** for one month, from September 5th to October 5th, 2023. When we and the owner, learned that a neighbor was starting construction on the house located right next to the Tiny House, we promptly shared this information with ************* and offered her alternative accommodations, a private studio located on the same property, in the main house, away from the construction zone.
    Despite our best efforts to address the situation and provide options, ************* expressed her dissatisfaction upon arrival. She insisted on air conditioning, which we do not advertise or provide, leading to a disagreement between her and the owner. Furthermore, there were incidents of smoking on our smoke-free property, and ***************** interactions with the owners tutoring sessions disrupted the peaceful environment we strive to maintain.
    In the evening, ************* and her sister left without prior notice, and she expressed a desire for a full refund. Due to the lateness of the hour and uncertainty about her return, we were unable to re-rent the space that day. We also incurred costs related to credit card fees, cleaning, and time spent attempting to accommodate her needs.
    As a result, we refunded $2,500 to ************* and retained the remaining $1,016.77 to cover our expenses and the commitment we had reserved for her. It took over a week to find a replacement. We had promptly identified an alternative accommodation with air conditioning within hours of her initial complaint, but she had already relocated.

    Since then, we have experienced a high volume of calls and emails from her, which have been characterized by a disrespectful and derogatory tone.
    Both the Tiny House and D&D's B&B have received endless positive reviews, and we have maintained our business for many decades without encountering such challenges. We remain committed to providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for all our guests.
