In September we spent over $12,000 on a sofa, 2 end tables and 2 side chairs. When the sales person bought the sales order to us, she included the ********* Protection Plan in our total. She said it would be only a couple hundred dollars more for 5 years of coverage and we would not have to pay the shipping costs. We agreed to purchase the protection plan. The furniture was delivered in December. In February, I filed a claim with the protection plan because the leather was ripped in multiple places where the foot of the sofa extended and retracted because it was placed, by the delivery persons, on a floor outlet. I only discovered the damage, because leather from the sofa was on the floor. The protection plan denied the claim, saying it was a manufacturers defect. We have been going back and forth for over three months and now they are saying the case is closed, there is nothing they can do. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCHEME OF PURCHASING THE PROTECTION PLAN. If you file a claim, they deny you and tell you the case is closed! We asked to refund the difference between the cost of the plan and the shipping costs, they said they don't issue refunds.Review from Kchitiz R

The overall experience with Furnitureland South thus far has been very disappointing so potential buyers beware! From Furnitureland South I ordered 3 beds (1 King bed and 2 Queen beds), a nightstand, two dressers, an armoire, and a mirror on Aug 31. The sales experience was pleasant and that's where the good ended and my nightmare started. The process to get delivery scheduled (3 attempts at scheduling delivery of my items, where they cancelled delivery twice at the last minute), the actual delivery (this past week, almost 6 months after the order date) with multiple items missing from my order, and their lack of urgency to get my issues resolved, which are still not resolved at the time of writing this, and their lack of urgency has left me to question whether this is a legit business or are they only about getting making the sale and everything after that comes secondary...?Review from Elizabeth T

What a miserable experience we had with FurniturelandSouth — primarily their Delivery Service and their Customer Service. We ordered nearly $8,000.00 worth of NEW furniture — NOT “clearance furniture”. We received our furniture in 3 separate deliveries, all (ALL) of which contained BROKEN furniture. Now, nearly SIX MONTHS (after paying for FurniturelandSouth’s “White Glove” delivery service) projected delivery date of our dining room table has been moved from the initial 6-8 weeks to nearly EIGHT (8) MONTHS from our original order. bedroom set received but installer could not assemble it because it was missing lower support frame. bet sitting in an angle. Can not use. multiple calls but no reply. they know they screwed up up!,, TERRIBLE!!!!Furnitureland South Response

We apologize there was an issue with the clearance bed that was delivered missing parts needed to assemble the bed. We were ordering the needed parts and offered to return the bed for a refund if needed. Our client accepted a discount to keep the bed and this has been processed.Customer Response

We ordered furniture from Furnitureland South in April of 2022. This furniture store sells discounted/damaged furniture and new furniture from the manufacturer. I want to establish that my husband and I ordered our furniture new and from the manufacturer. The bed and bedside tables delivered to our home came with white glove delivery on Oct 2022, and the pieces arrived damaged. The bottom of the bed arrived with large visible cracks, and the marble bedside tables came broken and misshapen. I called the company before the delivery drivers could leave and signed the sheet to confirm these items were damaged. One bedside table is still missing the entire second shelf. Furnitureland offered to repair the furniture. However, after paying a premium amount for something new, I am not looking to have my furniture repaired. After emailing management, they reassured me that we would receive new undamaged furniture and an update to notify us when the last piece of furniture would be ready from the warehouse. I have not received any further communication since January 2023.Furnitureland South Response

We apologize for any issues we experienced with successfully completing the order. We did order replacement items and we have had those items available for delivery. Have tried to speak with a live person since May 26 about Woodward chaises problem almost $2,000 purchase . No person has contacted me. I have sent pictures of discoloration and finally received an email on June 12. I asked questions, but no follow up! Left message for an Any Henderson’s manager Andrew last week and no call back. The calls to customer service go to a v/ m and no one calls back . Prior to this I have purchased well over $10,000 in merchandise from them . Valued customer a joke!!Furnitureland South Response

As of today. 6,19, 2023, no one has called me nor given me an update from Furniture Land South about claim . I did receive an email with my 8/4/2021 bill of sale indicating the the optional insurance was not added after all. I personally called on 6/15/2023 , Woodward Furniture Customer Service and explained my problem . They immediately sent me a form to file a claim. Today 6/20/2023 they sent me a bill of lading, detailed instructions on where to ship my damaged furniture, written statement they would warranty my straps and ship back to me at no charge! This is amazing that Furniture Land South has had the same information for over 3 weeks and has no information for me. Woodward could not have been more helpful ! I would not recommend Furniture Land South for after sale customer service ! Great selection but you are on your own if a problem!Review from SHARON J

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I WAS TRYING TO RETURN THE SECOND MATTRESS I HAD PURCHASED. THE PERSON I WAS TALKING TO & EMAILING WAS IN COMPENTENT @ BEST. SHE DELETED ALL THE PHOTOS I SENT HER OF THE MATTRESS & THEN TOLD ME SHE HAD TO FOLLOW PROTOCOL & I NEED TO SEND HER THE PHOTOS AGAIN. THE GUARDSMAN WHO CAME TO CHECK THE MATTRESS TOLD US HE COULD SEE THE MATTRESS SAGGING IN THE MIDDLE. THE MATTRESS COST OVER TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS LASTED 2 YEARS BARELY.HAD A 10 YEAR UNCONDTIONAL WARRANTY & ANOTHER GENERAL WARRANTY. I FINALLY TOLD REP. WE BOUGHT THE MATTRESS SHE DID NOT SO HANDLE THIS. I JUST BOUGHT ANOTHER MATTRESS FROM THEM WHICH IS THEIR POLICY. THEY PROMISE WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY. THE WHITE GLOVE DEL. IS THROW MATTRESS OFF THE SIDE OF TRUCK ONTO STREET. WE CALLED ONE OF THE MANEGERS FOR DEL. I WILL TALK WITH MY DRIVERS AND CALL YOU BACK.NO RETURN CALL. We apologize that we were unable to locate the mattress in time for the original delivery! Fortunately, we were able to locate it the same day and will make sure we get it delivered ASAP. The shopping experience was fantastic but has been followed with the worst customer service experiences that I've ever had to endure. Saying that their customer service is horrible is an understatement. "Non-existent" would be a better word. They are simply unwilling to respond to emails or phone calls. If you call, you will get dumped into a voice mail and they will never (and I truly mean never) respond. If you reach someone via email, they will stop responding and no amount of follow-up emails will get a response. Days, weeks, and months will pass with no responses or follow-up. At this point, we've had to resort to getting our sales rep to help us contact the customer support manager. Ignore the "A+" rating on this business and avoid at all costs.Furnitureland South Response

We apologize there was a manufacturing issue with one of your cushion casings and for any delays in responding to your inquiries. Our representative was initially responsive but later there were gaps in the communication and again, we truly apologize for that! It appears your account manager is working with the manufacturer to secure the new casing as requested and is re-engaged in dialogue with you on this resolution.Customer Response

We had over a month of phone calls and emails asking for updates or next steps that were simply ignored. Calling that a "gap in communication" is extremely disingenuous. Also, it appears that the only reason we have a response now is due to this review. Your response implies otherwise which is simply false. My recommendation is to replace the phone number and email address for customer support on your website with a link to this site instead. Instead of having your customers waste their time failing to reach your customer support directly, they can leave a review here and get actual help.
