    I purchased a recliner on August 11, 2021 from Discount Furnitue World, 3550 S. Church Street, Burlngton, NC 27215. The reclinder turned out to be defective. Within a three week period of time from the delivery date, I called on several occasions to get a prompt response to my problems with the item. It took several weeks before someone from the store came to my home to do so called REPAIR the defect. The recliner did not recline and did not have adequate support for comfort (inadequate stuffing). Attempts were made to correct the problems by a repair person, but the conditon of the recliner continues to deterioate. On January 7, 2022, I called the store and spoke to Bob, the repair manager. I explained my issues: inadequate support; one arm of the chair is unstable with inadequate stuffing, overall stability of the chair is inadequate and it cause back and leg pain. Due to the unstable cushioning in the arm of the chair, it creates unstable support for getting out of the chair. The instability on the arm can result in a falling accident. I explained my concerns and didnt receive a response that there was any sense of ugency to attempt to correct the problems. I was told that it could be next week or the week after when someone could possibly come to my home to repair. When I asked what happens if it cant be repaired to my satisfaction, I did not get any sense that there was an option to return this item. It is my desire to have a satisfactory outcome and will pursue all avenues available to me. It is regrettable that the responses to my concerns indicates no sense of urgency. This is a matter that cost a considerable amount of money and deserves to be handled in a manner commensurate with my problems. I do hope that this will be resolved quickly.

    We have already been to her home once regarding the chair. We have already set up an appointment for next Tuesday between 4-5 pm to look at the chair. I am not sure why she has contacted the BBB since we have already set up an appointment.

    On 1/11/22, a person named Borb Jr AKA Bob R*** came to my home on 1/11/22 around 5PM. Upon answering the door, his demeanor troubling. He had a scowl on his face and his arms folded as if ready to go to battle with me. When asked about a face mask, he said he didnt have one. I told him that he needed one to enter my home. I gave him a mask for use; I also used a mask for this really troubling encounter. He stood in my hallway. When asked whether he had come to my home in August, 2021, he responded yes and stated emphatically that he was not gonna come another time. In order to avoid an escalation of this encounter, I ignored his hostility and proceeded to show him the recliner. Once again he didnt engage in asking any questions, I told him my concerns, he hesitated,When I asked if was going to inspect the concerns, he looked at the chair. He also sat in the chair, reclined it and declared definitively that there was nothing wrong with the chair. He futher opined that the chair was fine based on his judgemnt. I expressed that it might be great for him; however, it was not satisfactory for me. I never received any evidence that he was concerned about my satisfaction. When I attempted to speak with him about the one year warranty, he indicated that my concerns were not under warranty(that the chair was not broken) > I indicated that my issues were under warranty. Upon closer review, I have confirmed that issues that I have are indeed included. Included: Foam,Padding, Sinuous coil springs, etc. It is rather odd that he failed to acknowledge that these items are covered under th warranty from BEST HOME FURNISHINGS.
