  I talked with *********************** the owner about doing pavers in my backyard. We came up with a plan and got a few days into the project and I didn't care for the work being done so I stopped the project and asked if the base rock could be removed and to return the money. I told him I'd pay for the work up to that point even though I was not happy with the work. Work started July 25, I discussed stopping the work July 27. Just prior to stopping the project I gave $8000 for the order for the pavers. I gave the money but after closer inspection of the work that had been done I changed my mind about continuing. I stopped the work in time so that the pavers never made it on the truck. It's been two weeks since the start of the project. Since then I've asked repeatedly as to whether he has calculated the amount coming back to me. He has not given me an amount. I was told just this morning August 6 he would call with the amount. He didn't. The quality of the work in my opinion was not what I expected and decided to part ways sooner rather than live with it as I didn't like the progress leading up to that point. I was doing the work in preparation for a pavilion but my ideas and ******'s differed in how to anchor it. The Long and the Short of it is. Only after a few days work plus materials I didn't feel that $8000 worth of work was done and I should get a good portion of the money back. To me that would be fair. The stringing out of this is not professional and now I'm stooping to writing this review. Something I don't like to do but feel the need. The communication up to the stoppage was good. Afterwords awkward and a hassle. This has not been resolved as of 8-6-2024. I have not had a good experience in dealing with *********************** in resolving the return of funds for return of materials and work that was what I deem as inadequate work, ie no form or framing of the paths, pavilion pad not centered or square, paths dug eratically or too deep.

  I have had a great experience with Smartscaping, I used their services for my backyard, frontyard, deck, fencing. They are very thorough with their work and true professionals.
