            Mini split ( Daikon) Installed by Contra Costa heating and air conditioning on May 9 2020. Cost $5,020 paid. 10 year warranty on compressor and parts. One year warranty on labor. Mini split stopped working Dec 2021. Model # RXB24AXVJU ( heat pump) and model # FTB24AXVJU ( air handler). Contra costa came out on December 15 2021 to evaluate. Found refrigerant leaking and technician just topped up with more refrigerant. We thought it was fixed. In June 2022 mini split stopped working again. Contra costa came on June 29 2022 to evaluate. Said need two guys to return to evaluate and fix leak. Two guys came on August 9 2022. Said it is now fixed and added more refrigerant. In December 2023 mini split stopped working and ***** from Contra Costa lead technician came to evaluate. Said need to exchange unit and requested manager **** to request replacement. **** sent out two guys ( ***** and his assistant on December 19 2023 to look for exact leak so the unit could be replaced. Said the leak is in the coil. It is now March 19 2024 and despite my repeated calls and emails and texts regarding status of replacement we have still not heard from Contra Costa about exchange or repair. When I talk to **** the manager he says he is still waiting on a response from ******. So at this point it appears that Contra Costa will not get this broken mini split resolved.

            They had quoted a split system installation work which I signed off on. A day after contract was signed, the contractor calls and says they need to raise the price by 50%. I ask them why that is the case, they say it was not scoped correctly even though they came in person to scope the work and proceeded to tell me its still a good price. They continued to try winning back the business and the owner came to quote it correctly. He was going to cut all margins because they screwed me over and sent back a revised contract that was about 30% higher. They were shady again and just took out ******************* and work that needed to be done on the roof instead of cutting their margins. They are the shadiest business Ive ever seen. Do not ever work with them.
