    I was told I could not take a test drive unless I paid $3900 cash first! Owner backed down from this horrible business practice to drive along with me. Owner became belingerant and physically assaulted me inside the vehicle. I had to call 911 and have the Indiana State Police escort me into the office so I could pay my bill safely. Absolutely the worst most rude business transaction ever! Beware of this establishment! Not worth your money or your safety going here! Doesn't even deserve the 1 star rating...totally unprofessional to say the least! Lawrence ** *******

    Larry is correct. Customers MUST pay IN FULL before we will turn loose of the car. During the test drive with customer, customer stated brake light on dash was flashing sporadically, that was verified when it was dropped off as PRE EXISTING conditions. Customer called me a liar, and when i disputed what he said, Larry got very angry, slammed on the brakes to bring the car to a stop, at this point, and put his finger in my face. The assault Larry is talking about, was when i removed his hand from my nose. The cops were called at this point, and Larry was instructed to pay the bill and leave by the Indiana State Police. Its a shame this happened. I have never been so disrespected as a business owner as i was with Larry. Larry, actually had us order a transmission for his car several months ago, and when transmission came in, he cancelled the order. We never charged him a return fee for that, nor did i raise the price when he came back and had us order the transmission again. He was quoted $3900 out the door, and we ONLY charged him what we quoted. We held up our end of the deal.

    This response by the owner of Mitchelle's Transmission is riddled with lies which does not surprise me at. A dishonest establishment is exactly that...Dishonest! Lie #1 : The brake light warning lights were not nor never had been flashing! #2 : I became upset when I (a honest litigimate customer) was being accused of lieing about the now new brake light warning lights flashing and the owner screaming belingerantly at me saying I was ripping him off! #3 : I did not slam on the brakes! #4 : I knew the owner had lost all control and threatening me with violence so I called 911. I did not put my hand nor my finger near the owners face. I was on the passenger side reaching in to grab my keys from the ignition to keep the owner from stealing my vehicle and driving away. That's when (as the owner has admitted in writing now) he assaulted me by taking a swing connecting to my forearm smashing my arm into the passenger seat. I had already called 911 and the dispatcher was live and was recording every word. Dispatcher kept asking if I was alright for they could hear how out of control the owner had become. After speaking with the State Trooper out of the presence of the owner I decided to not press charges at this time( I had no mark from the blow from the owners punch) and allow the State Trooper(who was great to deal with) to escort me safely into the office, pay my bill as I always intended to do, and have the State Trooper watch my back so I could leave the premises. Owner says he was disrespected. Truth be told I stood up to this undesirable attempt to bully me into to paying before I could test drive my vehicle. That's an absurd policicy the owner claims to have especially if a customer is going to pay $3900 cash! And yes, one more egregious lie was told when the owner said I ordered the transmission and canceled it. The owners father was sitting right next to his boy every time I came to discuss making a deal and knows I did not cancel my order. Makes sense the one time I do walk into this shop without dad sitting there his boy goes off like uncontrolled kid. To finalize, there were a lot of folks who had stopped on the street filming the owner going ballistic on me. If by chance a video surfaces of the owner's assult on me I will pursue charges against this guy. To me he is a real threat to our community and needs to be held legally accountable for his actions.
