Healthy Spaces was hired to remediate a mold situation within our craw space in the sunroom at XXXXX ********** ****** ********* IN. They sold us on a plan to completely seal up that room to eliminate an environment that produces mold. We were told after remediation that the subfloor was still good and didn't need replacing. Sunroom work was guaranteed for 10years. Fast forward to last week...we are selling home and inspectors found mold again and said the subfloor was soggy and required complete replacement. The atmosphere that Healthy Spaces made trapped in the moisture and without ventilation caused rot of the subfloor. I called Healthy Spaces and asked them to make it right. They refused. I told them the close on the house was being held up because of this issue. I made several calls to try to mediate a favorable outcome. They refused. I had to hire a contractor to come in and make repaires to the subfloor. He took several pictures for us and also noted that the foam seal job that Healthy Spaces provided was not even adhering to the structure and was just falling off. It cost me $950 for the repairs to the sub-flooring. I also put them on notice that they did this to the rest of the houses crawl space which could be a problem in the future. We actually had one of the Healthy Spaces inspectors come out and reinspect prior to closing and he gave us a letter stating that everything was good. We are seeking the money to do the repairs and fixing of the job that we paid for.
