Top to Bottom replaced my roof shingles in August 2010 with a 7-year workmanship guarantee. In 2015, the shingles on the north side of my roof blew off, so I contacted the company to have this issue corrected. I called multiple times before the ***** *** ******* finally came to see the damage. After a quick nailing job, I was told everything was good. Four days later more shingles blew off again. After multiple calls, a subcontractor who the ***** had hired, showed up to repair my roof. He told me the shingles were nailed in incorrectly. He said the company told him to caulk the loose shingles, so that is what he did. I went up to inspect his work, and I had to caulk many more areas that were loose. In January 2021, the shingles on the west side of my roof blew off. I went up on the roof and took photos and called Top to Bottom for an inspection and repair. The ***** came and replaced all of the missing shingles, temporarily nailing them in place and informed me to call them back in the spring so that the repair could be finished. In April 2021, I called again, multiple times and finally the ***** of the company came and finished the repair. I specifically told the ***** that I was concerned about the integrity of the roof and that I had wanted to be present to do an inspection of the whole roof with him after he had completed the repair. Unknowingly, he showed up and did the “repair” and called me when he left my house to inform me that the repair had been done. I told him again that I had wanted to inspect the roof with him but he told me, "we could do that another time". When I told him that I thought that the roof should be replaced as the loose shingles had been a problem since 2015, he told me not to waste my money. In August, the shingles on the west side of my roof started to come loose and flap in the wind after being repaired in April. I went on my roof and tried to caulk the loose shingles down, but after 6 tubes, I realized that there were too many and that the integrity of the shingles was compromised. I contacted different companies for quotes for a new roof. Upon getting these quotes, I’ve showed the companies the photos that I had taken of my roof in January of this year, and they have said the photos clearly show that the shingles had been nailed incorrectly, well above the nail line on the shingle. This condition of my roof would have been obvious to the ***** when he came to do the repairs in 2015 and 2021,but the ***** chose to cover up his company’s terrible workmanship instead of doing the right thing, which would be to replace my shingles. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

After filing the review, the company immediately reached out to me. The owner and I did an inspection of the roof and it was determined that the roof needed to be replaced. For a small charge, the garage was done as well. The job was scheduled immediately, and the roofing crew showed up and the job was completed within two days. I was kept informed of what was going on, and upon completion of the job, the crew foreman reassured me that I wouldn’t have the same issues as I had in the past. I commend the owner for his swift actions on making this situation right. Although, it was unfortunate that this incident happened in the first place, Top to Bottom Roofing has restored my confidence in their workmanship and reputation as a professional company, which was why I initially hired them back in 2010.
