    I rented an apartment from July 15th 2022, I moved out in December 2022 and they sent me a check that had the incorrect name on it all the information had incorrect name except for the address and name on the envelope. I've called them I've emailed them explain the situation they said send it back I sent it back they sent it back to me and all they did was scratch out the name on the cheque and initial it, I talked to my bank to ask them if this is possible to cash they said no they called the cops, because it was check fraud and check tampering, and Yorkton group has not returned any calls or emails I've sent them pictures of it I've sent them a letter from the bank, they have ghosted me, I feel the company should be shut down and penalized. My mother is retired ***** helped me live in Edmonton for the time I was out there and to get back she also could use that money to put back on her credit line where she got it from, I'm unemployed and I could use the money in the cheque it's almost $800. I can send scanned images of the letter the information they gave me and the cheque

    If I could give this company a zero star review I would. I have rented from them since June 2023 and it has been an absolute nightmare. The company never responded to the issues in my apartment (broken floor boards/tiles, broken doors, infestations, tenants causing issues in late hours of the night) but rather tried to gaslight me and blame me for the issues I was facing even tho they promised to have it figured out by my move in date. When reaching out to them I tried for over a month to get a hold of someone and no-one would call or email me back. I then received notice that the building had been sold as of Dec 21, 2023 but had been trying to reach this company since the start of November, with some emails going back to when I first moved in. They clearly do not care about the safety of their tenants but rather ********** going into their pockets. Do not involve yourself in this company unless you want to live in a nightmare.

    Mr. ******************* rented one of the suites in our apartment building in June 2023, our records showed that the unit was well maintained and cleaned in good condition prior to occupancy. During the move-in inspection, we noted that one of the window screen needed to be replaced, our building maintenance technician went back to replace the window screen on June 19, 2023, there was no complaint from the tenant after that. The tenant later asked the building Resident Manager ******** for an extra copy of his lease agreement. Our Resident Manager had delivered a copy of the lease agreement to the tenant and did not hear any further from the tenant. On July 31, 2023, we received an email from the tenant indicating there were some maintenance issues in the suite and also indicated that he wanted to break the lease, but without mentioning any details whatsoever. Our Resident Manager attempted to contact the tenant, but could not connect with the tenant. If there were any important maintenance issues, the tenant could have visited the Resident Manager, who was living in the same building of the tenant, for discussion. But we did not hear any further complaint from the tenant since then. The building was sold and taken over by the new owner on December 21, 2023. Soon after we notified all the tenants about the sale of the building, we are surprised to receive this complaint to BBB without any communication from the tenant since July 31, 2023. All tenants are our customers, customer satisfaction is always our goal, we will not hesitate to meet any reasonable requests from our tenants to achieve the utmost customer satisfaction. If **************** has any maintenance requests or desire to terminate his lease obligation prematurely for any personal reasons, please contact the new building manager/owner.
