Date Contacted about leaking tank: Nov 11, 2022 Date of Install: Nov 16, 2022 I have not paid Triple P Plumbing yet. Triple P was to replace my Hot water Heater within the warranty period. My hot water tank was leaking on Nov 11 so I contacted Triple P because they installed this tank in 2015. He indicated that it was within warranty and would contact me the Monday when he could get approval for the replacement and set a date for the install. I contacted him late morning Monday to find out the progress and I was home for the day. He said he had the replacement and could come Tuesday morning, we declined because we were at work. We asked to install Wednesday when my wife had a day off. It was installed Wednesday which took about 2 hours my wife said. My wife texted and called me about 5am on Saturday with concerns that she could hear the heater running and had not noticed that it had stopped running since the install and if I thought it was safe for the heater to run all the time. I wasn't sure if it was safe, but in our trouble shooting we found that Triple P replaced our 62000BTU High Output Heater with a regular 45000BTU heater. Same Tank volume at 50Gallons. I texted Triple P about our concerns and findings of the lower BTU unit at about 530am. After back and forth texts about how both heaters were the same output and my saying they were not and the old tank never ran all the time like this, I asked if he could stop by to check out our concerns, after some back and forth of texts he offered to stop on his way by to another job in about 30 mins (about 630am) at 715am he texted saying it was likely an issue with my infloor piping leaking. Many texts back and forth about how the tanks are the same and I did not agree and why he did not replace it with the same BTU heater he said that's what they gave him and he was told it had the same recovery as my old one. I contacted the Manufacturer to ask why they gave a lower BTU model, he did not understand either.
