If I could give them zero stars I would. I placed an order and paid for the Mandala Afghan monthly kit on March 31, 2024. It is now May 1st and I still have not received my first kit. I have made 5 phone calls throughout the last two weeks inquiring when my kit will be mailed. Each time I have called, they tell me it is due to ship within the next 24 hours. I check my account status on their website 48 hours later and the status has not changed from "Shipment Pending". I just got off the phone with ****, who had the decency to tell me she has no idea why it has not shipped. She stated that she would escalate this issue to her supervisor and I should expect a call "some time" with more information. I asked **** if she had an approximate time frame that I could expect a call from her supervisor, said she could not tell me just "some time". So now I continue to wait...I should have known not to place another order with this company after I was double charged for the first order I placed earlier this year. When I called the company for a refund of one of the charges, they told me they could not credit my account because their records did not indicate a double charge. They asked that I email them my bank statement reflecting the double charge, which I did. Then they said unfortunately they could not credit my account for one of the charge and I would have to dispute the transaction with my bank. I eventually got my money back, thanks to my bank. Save yourselves the headaches and trouble, NEVER do business with this company!Review from Melanie C

I purchased a crochet pattern that was poorly written and does not seem to have been tested prior to offering it for sale. Also, the *** download is read-only, so I can't print it out. **************** failed to answer my email requesting a refund, so I called. The representative was nice enough, but did not have the authority to issue a refund. She was unable to reach the accounting department after a 15 minute hold. Supposedly, the representative sent an email to request a refund to be issued, but I'm not holding my breath. It's not the amount of money that is the problem, it's a lack of sufficient customer service and quality that will keep me from shopping with Annie's again. I started with Annie's ******** June 6, 2023. I am making the Irish Fields Gansey crochet afghan. I have received three kits so far and paid for four. I experienced at least a two month delay this summer due to yarn shortages according to Annie's ********.A fourth kit was paid for on December 16, 2023. It is now January 11, **** and I haven't received the package. Since December 19th, 2023, the tracking has stated that the package is en route to **** and is with a carrier. I called (about December 30, 2023) and was told that it was "arriving in the mail today." It didn't come. I have emailed and received word that I should check the tracking again. The tracking information hasn't changed since the 19th. I tried calling again and was left on hold for an excessive time and no one picked up. Today, I received a new email in response to my reply email telling me that I'll "receive it today." I don't believe it because the tracking information hasn't changed.On a positive side, I love the afghan and yarn that I have received so far. I have loved the detailed instructional videos that come with the kit, but consider this before buying...Annie's fails to deliver within the three week window as advertised. Annie's will charge your card long before they actually mail your kit. Annie's fails to respond honestly about their delays. We apologize for the delay in shipping your kits to you. We have had an ongoing delay in restocking some of the yarn for the club you joined and are working to replenish that. We expect to ship another kit to you in the next couple of weeks. At this time, we cannot promise the kits will be sent on a four-week schedule, but we are doing everything we can to get your kits back on that schedule.We did ship the most recent kit to you on December 19, 2023. It usually takes **** days for the shipment to arrive, but your shipment appears to have been delayed in the **** mail system. The shipment is now showing as delivered on Jan. 17, 2024.We appreciate your patience as we work through our inventory delays.Review from E. M

Back in May 2023 I signed up for a subscription for an Afghan. I initially signed up to receive a kit every two weeks over period of six months to complete the ******. Annies ended up extending the subscription to every four weeks without any notice, I discovered this when searching through my account. after nine months I have only received three of the kits. *** made multiple calls and emailed to customer service to inquire as to the status of the subscription. All Ive been told is that there was is a back order on the yarn and they have no idea when that will be rectified. I requested simply receiving the instructions and supplying my own yarn. They refused. Annies offered nothing to rectify the situation (i.e. instructions only, different kit, different ********.) Only response is that the yarn is back ordered. Not a reliable company any longer!!! Annies has nice clubs, use to be reliable. but...customer service, fulfillment, and shipping is horrible. There are constant back-order. Customers pay full price for shipping then annies use a third party to pick up and drop off at a post office, my most recent square was Picked up on 12/19/23 ... still hasn't droped off at a post office and today is 01/7/24 ) always delay issues, but they never notify customers of delays, or explain when they can expect shipment..I would have cancled this club because of delays (back orders and shipping) but they won't return my money for the 5 squares I've invested for a afghan that should been compled 6 months ago if it wasn't for the delays... look for a more reliable companyAnnie's Publishing LLC Response

They have very *************, but their customer service, fulfillment, and shipping is atrocious. There are constant back-order and shipping delay issues, but they never notify customers of delays, explain when they can expect shipment, and why there is a delay at all. Email requests are ignored. If you do manage to get through on their telephone line, representatives always sound irritated by my call as soon as they say hello. The reps are then zero to little help at all. At best, even when orders are moving through, their shipping process works at a glacial pace. As much as I like their products, I have cancelled my subscriptions. They are just too unreliable unpleasant to deal with.Review from Angela M

Delivery late. No anticipated date of arrival causing a delay in my project. Refused to send the instructions in advance of materials. Im just stuck with no option to proceed or rectify it. Unable to speak to someone else to escalate my concerns.Review from Jim B

Just go ahead and try to get off Annie's Publishing Co.'s lists! My mother died almost 6 years ago. I have called twice a year since then requesting that her name be removed from ALL of their lists. It never happens. I keep getting solicitations from Annie's...another one today. Enough! They say that it will take 3-4 months to stop getting new mailings; not true, it takes at least 6 years. They also say that they purchase new lists from other services. That *** be, but I have successfully gotten my mother's name off of every other mailing service lists and haven't received any other solicitations in the past 3-4 years. If someone from Annie's wants to finally remove my mother's name from their listings, please contact me back through the BBB.Review from Shay L

Discriminatory business practice! They will hire you and revoke their offer without any explanation. Trying to get a copy of their policy is impossible. Will be filing a complaint with the **** as well.Review from Lou Ann M

Annie's provides a good product. HOWEVER, their customer service is horrible! They chronically do not record payments that are made and then repeatedly send overdue notices, with penalties attached. If you purchase from this company, keep track of your payments or you may end up paying for something multiple times. When I talk to customer service, they tell me that the responsibility for these issues lies with another level above them and that they are unable to do anything about it. They cannot or will not provide contact information for anyone who can correct this problem.
