I called Major Appliance about repairing my ice maker. Took them 3 weeks to look at the problem. ****** was late calling saying he was coming, when he finally arrived, 1 hour after agreed on time, said it was dirty coils. Spent approx. 5 minutes cleaning coils and said it would work. I asked him to run diagnostic test, said it was not necessary. He did not perform test. Did not even know how ice door from upper unit opened, started to use a screwdriver to pry open, I showed how to open it with the lever. After charging me $ ******, he left. I spent about two hours and thoroughly cleaned the coils. Still would not make ice after two days. Called Major Appliance again, this time the owner *************************** was to come and investigate. He did not call me to tell me he was going to be late. Called me twenty-three minutes late after I had been waiting two hours to tell me he was on his way. I told him I had things to do and not to come. I guess most people can be held hostage by Major Appliance because it's mandatory to have the appliance repaired, I did not have to be his hostage. This is a very un-acceptable way to run a business. If you are going to be late, a simple call could prevent any animosity. But ******** obviously does not have any concern for your time because he thinks he is the only game in town. HE IS NOT. I paid $ ****** for NOTHING. Don't use this company unless you have hours and money to spare. It was a total waste of time and money for me!
