I ordered a set of HotBodies fairings from STG (Sport bike track gear) (they took 4 months to arrive due to pandemic, I understand the logistics impact). Upon receiving the fairings, I started installing them only to realize fitment was way off for they belly pan, which then through off the other parts. in the spirit of installation, I tried to make them fit which cause the primer and some parts of the fiber glass to crack (still didn't fit). Upon doing some research, I noticed there was warning language on Hotbodies website specific to this make/model bike fairings that was absent on Sport bike track gears website in regard to the belly pan fitting really tight or not at all with the OEM/Stock headers. I happen to have the stock headers which explains the fitment issue that I was not aware of when ordering through STG.I then contacted STG and was told in summary, "with Item being damaged we cannot offer assistance, return, refund". There were no questions about what the issue was, just that they weren't refunding me. I then explained that $700 is a lot of money and would appreciate an explanation for the lack of warning language or I would be forced to file a small claims suit.I didn't receive a response for 4 days, I came here and read other reviews in which the owner asked for patience, so I reached out again asking for an explanation or acknowledgement and was told "As previously stated. You installed and damaged the bodywork. You will need to work direct with the manufacture....Also with threat of legal action we are no longer able to assist in this matter."I have had great business with STG in the past, but this was very frustrating as I am not the type of person who enjoys doing this but again $700 is a lot of money. I would hope someone would have looked into the warning language absent on the product info to prevent the next person from experiencing this.

The note on the manufacturer's site is as follows: "*** This bodywork fits tightly with the *** Headers, it is recommended to replace the stock headers for best fitment with this product. Tail section shown is ***** 600RR **" Per the manufacturer this should fit with the stock headers. If you need more clearance you should consider purchasing an aftermarket exhaust system.We are not able to accept a return on this race bodywork kit because you damaged it while attempting to install it on your bike.
