Since the Denver Post was acquired, the service levels have been abysmal. The representatives are foreign and appear to have difficulty understanding simple requests. I was annoyed by the additional flashing ads on both sides of the online display and attempted to subscribe to the ads free version, but was informed that as a current online and Sunday print subscriber that only new subscriptions qualified for the discounted interval. The rep suggested a new subscription using new credentials and advised me that our current Sunday print and online account was available thru 5/19. She cancelled our 4/28 print edition without notice. The link for to manage my subscription (myaccount.denverpost.com) sent with my subscription verification would not work with Mac Safari. The email support rep led me thru multiple steps involving history clearing, reboots, etc. while maintaining their website is OK.Using Firefox finally allows this website access, while Safari has always accessed the Post online. Both the subscription and online support services are demonstrably horrible!

1/10/24 ****** at the Denver Post quoted $5.99/mo promotional rate. 2/23/24 $28.15 billed to my **** card that I found out on 3/21/24 when my statement arrived. Called Remy (supervisor) to cancel my subscription and get a refund of the $28.15 that was not authorized by me. He said that he would "elevate" the request to billing and that I would receive a call back that day. No call back and no $28.15 credit has occurred. 3/28/24 called Apple (supervisor) who said that I had authorized extension of my subscription to July, 2024. I emphatically repeated to Apple that I never authorized a subscription extension and that I had been assured by previous conversations that my cancellation request as well as my $28.15 refund request would be "elevated" and responded to immediately. This is why this publication is going broke and I strongly urge everyone to avoid The Denver Post at all costs. Their personnel lie, you will be scammed.

Your subscription has been stopped (03/29/24) and a refund of the balance on your account has been processed (04/01/24) to your credit card (*******). Any further charges to your credit card would have ended as on 03/21/24.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, please reach out to us at *****************************************.

The same thing happened to me. The Denver Post billed me 3 months before my subscription renewal was up. I paid it not thinking then realized it by renewal was not due for another 3 months. I had paid in full, in advance for 52 weeks daily paper - paid through May ****. The bill that was mailed shows the renewal date of Feb ****. I paid it, then realized what they did. I called and spoke to a woman at the call center which appeared to be over seas. She told me that the extra charges were for "special editions" unless I called to "opt out", that they shortened my year (52 daily) subscription as I did not opt out of special additions. I told her this is not legal - a total scam. After going back and forth with her, she wasn't able to fix the problem and said she had escalated it to a higher **** which would call me in ***** hours. I haven't received a call back yet. I also asked her for a phone number for the Denver Post Complaint ****. She said that there's no complaint ****. So, they just scammed me out of 3 months of daily newspapers. I'm so disappointed, total scam their doing to their customers!!

When I signed up for my Denver Post subscription, I was told it would cost $169 per year or $14.08 per month for electronic access plus Sunday hardcopy paper. When I checked my credit card statement recently, I noticed there were double charges in the same month. I called customer service and was told the extra charges were for "special editions" unless I called to "opt out". When I signed up for the subscription, I was not told that the cost would be $169 per month plus the cost of ***************** unless called to I opt out . When I look at my website there is no mention of ***************** and to call if you want to opt out. The website says $169 per year. This is a deceptive business practice. I have paid an additional $98.56 over the $14.08 per month subscription cost in 2023 for "special editions" I did not know I received, and did not want. Please refund this amount. Thank you.

We are very sorry that you were not aware of our monthly Special Editions program and pricing.  Despite our best efforts to communicate this information both in print and electronically, sometimes subscribers do not see it.  I have instructed our team to apply $76.91 in credit to your account for Special Edition Charges in 2023.  This would be two at the price of $6.99 and 7 at the price of $8.99.  Your account has been opted out any further Special Edition charges.  I have also instructed our staff to apply a one month credit to your account in the amount of $14.08 for all of your inconvenience.  Should you have any additional concerns, please reach out to our local customer service team at *******************************************************************.

They offered me a subscription not available to me and wont give me a refund

We try our best to make sure that our solicitors do not sign up new subscribers in non-delivery areas.

Unfortunately, a few still slip through.

Our procedure is to "stop" the subscription to "freeze" the payment.  Then we send out an email asking the new subscriber if they would like a digital subscription.  A simply reply to that email will either activate a digital subscription or trigger refund.

If the new subscriber does not see our email and calls the call center, the response should be:

      >It looks like you like in one of our non-delivery areas. Can we interest you in a digital subscription?
      >If they say, "No".  Then you can say, while we have a "No Refund policy", let me see if I can get this approved with ****************.
      >Place the request on the Escalation Sheet.

We are very sorry that ***************************** did not have this experience.

We are initiating a full refund today.  Please allow up to ***** days for the credit to appear on **** ending in x3471

Deceptive subscription options! Renewed my 26 week All-Access + ************** subscription mid-July, $63.45. Received another bill due September 1 again asking for $63.45 for 26 weeks. When I called to ask about this, was told my subscription automatically included multiple Special Editions, that I needed to call to "opt out" of them. When I said I intended my $64 for 26 weeks of delivery, I was told the that the Special Editions information was in the "fine print" on my invoice. I checked and it is definitely in the fine print and no where else--not near the subscription options, not on the remittance section that was to be returned with my check, and ironically it's not online either. Nowhere. If it's automatically included then it's part of the subscription. What's even more ridiculous is that I was told I had to call to "opt out" and call to "cancel" my subscription because those options are nowhere online. I checked my account online and my subscription type doesn't include the words "special editions" either. I have been a Denver Post customer since the ******************** stopped. Not anymore. Canceled today.

Do not go with this newspaper. They continually will "forget" to deliver your paper, and then they will increase your monthly subscription without notice. Oh, and when you call to cancel on the same day they try take your money, they won't refund it. This turned out to be a scam and I'm extremely disappointed.

Want to file a complaint about The Denver Post. I agreed to pay ******** $499.20 for a year's subscription on 9/22/2022. I got a new bill indicating my next subscription was due 8/28/2023; 24 days less than a year. When I contacted the Post they said I was charged a sur-charge which reduced my length of subscription. Nothing was said about a sur-charge at the time I paid them for the year's subscription. They refused to honor our agreement so I canceled my subscription.

Due to inflationary expenses in every part of our operation, we were forced to start a $0.15/day supply-chain-surcharge last October.  We sent out letters and emails to announce this change. I have asked our customer service team to reach out to try and find a resolution and keep you as a subscriber.  They can be reached at ******************************************
