Ibotta deactivated my account. I had close to $100 in my account. I wrote in and told them I could not withdraw my money. No response besides the automated your account has been flagged and basically accused me of fraud. Over the past few weeks I had shopped more than usual to meet a higher bonus offer and I even explained this issue. I have the receipts and products that I could even send them proof of. The same thing happened to my sister whose account they deactivated as well. Both of us had a high bonus when then they decided to do this. Ibotta is nothing but a bunch of scammer who make money off of us buying stuff and when they have a high payout they refuse to give it to the account holder.Ibotta, Inc. Response

I have used Ibotta for years and have earned close to $4000 with them. Recently, I purchased 16 items at Kroger, which would have qualified for $23.74 plus a $3 weekend warrior bonus and finished what I needed for a $10 spring bonus. I made my purchases, then submitted the receipt. I had to send in three pictures to show the entire length of the receipt and had to fold it and get pictures of each section because if not it said the receipt was outside the edges for the picture. After 7 days ( making the receipt ineligible) I received an email that their automated system flagged it as altered or fraudulent because it was folded over. They then said they would reactivate my account, but I dont qualify for any of the almost $40 cash back because the receipt was altered. Ive offered to take pictures and resubmit it to show that it is the same receipt that is pictured in my file. I find this unethical because they are receiving money from these companies they promote, but not sharing the earnings with the consumer.Review from Laura C

I completed a $1 shopping survey I received via email from ibotta on 3/19. Fine print indicated it may take 7 business days to see the bonus. After 8 business days, I contacted customer services since I still hadn't received the bonus with attached screenshots of the survey email I received. I receive a response telling me I should wait 7 business days and resubmit - they didn't read the ticket at all...it had already been 8 business days. Then, I have to go back & forth 5x with their lousy customer service as they keep asking for the same things...1) a survey link...not provided...it was just a button that said "Take the Survey", 2) an icon at the top of the email...I have no idea what that even is...3) what the survey was about...at this point, I can't even remember, and I can't get back in because I've already completed the survey and 4) the amount of the bonus...CLEARLY shown on every screenshot of the survey email I've sent them. I don't know what's going on at Ibotta - they used to be really good about issues. Not anymore. I get the feeling their reps have been advised to make it as DIFFICULT as possible to award whatever amount has been promised as either product offers, bonuses, or surveys...basically amounting to fraudulent offers. I recently was "cheated" out of $9 in cash back. After contacting the Ibotta team, their excuse was there was a glitch in the system. Since this wasn't my first time contacting, they refused to credit me for my bonus that was achieved. Use at your own risk. Seems like if you have any sort of trouble, they'll help you the first time, but after that, you're out of luck.Ibotta, Inc. Response

I got a offer from ibotta went to site and made purchase. Went back on ibotta no money and nothing pending. I went to help on ibotta site they had me sent the offer and paid receipt. Now they are saying I bought a trial period one year is not a trail period. The are a bunch of scamer. I will not use the app again.Ibotta, Inc. Response

These people are crooks! They dont let people withdraw their funds if under $20 and then they dont offer an alternate method. So if the money sits there, they steal it back for themselves in the form of fees. If a customer is offered funds for using their platform, it should be the customers money to use or withdraw as they please. If it wasnt for the customer doing all the work and making them money to begin with, theyd have nothing. Brilliant way to steal from millions of Americans. I hope they're exposed.Ibotta, Inc. Hello. Thank you for notifying us of the concern. Account Maintenance Fees will not be deducted from an Ibotta account balance if an offer is redeemed within six months. If an account lapses six months without an offer redemption, Ibotta will deduct an amount equal to $3.99 from the accumulated Ibotta earnings each month the account remains inactive (Account Maintenance Fee). These fees are charged to Savers' Ibotta account earnings and are never deducted from a linked debit or credit card. Before the end of the six-month inactivity period, we will remind Savers to redeem an offer so that they can avoid incurring Account Maintenance Fees. Two stars because I at least have $23 cash back, however, it should be closer to $40! I buy items submit the receipt and most of the time dont get the rebates they promised! I SCAN THE **** PRIOR TO PURCHASE, SELECT THE OFFER AND READ THE OFFER REQUIREMENTS!!! Im doing my part! Problem is, I might buy more than I really need to thinking that I will be getting the item for less money. I go to see if my latest submitted receipt yielded the cash back I expected and the shopping trip doesnt even show up in my history!!! When you try to find out how to resolve the issue, you get a bot! I want a person! JUST HIRE PEOPLE!!! Im probably going to stop using Ibotta and I definitely wont recommend it to anyone. WE ARE ALL STRUGGLING WITH MONEY AND RISING FOOD COSTS IN A GARBAGE ECONOMY! I wouldnt recommend this to service to people I dislike!Ibotta, Inc. Response

Ibotta deactivated my account without telling me exactly what it is that was suspicious. I dont even use the app that much but I did refer a family member and then all of a sudden my account got locked. I had almost $40 in rewards and that is all gone.Ibotta, Inc. Response
