    Do not hire this company. I was given the information to hire this company for an insurance claim. The general contractor measured our space for new carpet, we chose a carpet, sent him the carpet, he ordered it. What he did not do is check to see the carpet was patterned. Now they are asking ** to pay for a mistake because the ** did not know the carpet was patterned. The options they gave **, leave the carpet as is unfinished, piece it with scraps or pay for it ourself for his mistake. Additionally, to do what they did, 3/4 of our basement, ONE guy showed up. Insurance paid for labor to move furniture and only one person was there. My husband moved it all. DO NOT hire this company. Ridiculous. They need order and pay for the carpet that THEY did not check was patterned and finish the job. Its not our mistake that the ** didnt check this.

    Don't use Elite Construction. They do not communicate well, don't tell the truth, and are bullies. Company emailed me Thursday evening saying roofing material and job was to start on the following Tuesday. I had never signed off on the cost of the roof, the color of the shingles, or god only knows what other work they were expecting to do. In August contractor said he would get me a contract to sign, but never did, so I figured they were waiting on me to finalize the scope of the project I wanted done. When I said I was not ready for the roof to be done, I was told I had already signed a contract and that they had already ordered the materials, so it was still on the books. They were so persistent that they were coming on Tuesday, I asked if I needed a lawyer and asked for a copy of the "contract" that I had signed. When I pushed for a copy of the contract, they had to admit they did not have it. As for the insurance company, I told Elite that I needed the some of my siding and a sliding glass door replace and they said they would work with the insurance company to get it covered. When I asked for status update, they said they asked the insurance company for the repairs, and it was denied. I called the insurance company to understand the denial, and the insurance company said they had not denied the siding or door, only the extra money Elite had asked for the roof. After working with the insurance company, I was able to get more money for my siding and door, even though Elite supposable could not.When the company first came out, they asked me to sign a form they said they needed in order to talk with my insurance company. I did not get a copy of this form. This is what they were using to try to scare me into letting them do my roof. What a horrible experience.

We strive to be diligent in our communication to ensure that all relevant information is presented for claim assessment. In this instance, while we might have experienced challenges with a particular desk adjuster, we are pleased to know that they rectified their oversight with your claim. The intention was never to neglect our responsibility, and we regret any misinterpretation of our actions.

    Contingency Agreement: We understand the confusion surrounding the "form" or contingency agreement you mentioned. A copy of this document, which was signed by a previous employee, unfortunately did not get uploaded to the file, causing some of the subsequent misunderstandings. We acknowledge this oversight on our part and have since taken measures to ensure such lapses do not occur in the future.

    Penalties and Contract Provisions: Our agreement provisions, including penalties post the 72-hour window, were implemented to safeguard the interests of both parties, given past experiences with unscrupulous clients. We recognize that these clauses *** seem stringent, but they are there to ensure fairness and trust in our business transactions. Nonetheless, in your case, recognizing the situation and the absence of the signed agreement, we have waived the penalties.

    Permit Fees: The only request we have made is related to the permit fees. These fees are non-refundable expenses incurred on our part. We humbly request understanding on this front as this is a standard practice in our industry.
