I caution others against using Front Range Stone. They measured our kitchen countertop incorrectly then did not take responsibility for their mistake when they installed the new Corian countertop even though there was clear evidence that the new countertop that they installed is a full inch narrower than the countertop that they removed. Their excuse is that I signed their iPad form when they laser-measured the job. Very disappointing.Front Range Stone, Inc. Response

When we template we do laser measure the tops. We discuss certain design details. The peninsula was discussed and designed to have a 12 overhang which was signed off on, built and installed. Unfortunately, after we installed it was brought up that the overhang desired was what the previous top had and not the 12 agreed upon at the measure appointment.Review from Jana R

TERRIB*E company! Do not use! Rude and disrespectful with absolutely no common sense or integrity. We purchased our cabinets and countertops through *********** They used Front Range as their subcontractor for countertops. They sent a guy out to measure. We told the gentleman that we did not want seams. He said we wouldnt, but we would have to pay an additional charge for a larger slab and we would need to put brackets on the island so that it could hold the extra weight otherwise they would not install it. He said if they had any issues, they would call before the countertops were cut. So we paid the extra fee and installed brackets. We then contacted them a few weeks later as they asked about how many holes we wanted by the sink and what edging we wanted because that would also be an extra charge. (We called HD about the extra charge and they told us that was a lie and they would fix the situation.). On installation day, lo and behold there was a seam on the island and a seam in the middle of the sink on our * shaped counter. We refused installation and called Front Range. They were rude and disrespectful. I caught them in lies as well, but they told us because they had already cut it, we owned it and we would not receive a refund or a new countertop. After dealing with a not so friendly person, we asked that their manager call. The next afternoon they called and in a not so nice way said tough luck. They said since the installation guy didnt write down any notes about seams, that they werent required to call us because it is at their discretion. We then talked to HD and they investigated. After going back and forth multiple times, Front Range is going to refund us a whopping $250 for the extra fee we paid and agreed to for the large no seam slab. We get that there is a seam on the * shape, but at the sink?No common sense and no accountability whatsoever. HD said they would compensate some but refused to tell us the amount until after install.Front Range Stone, Inc. Response

The material chosen only comes in 122" x 55.5" the customers island was 63 1/2" x 85". With the island being larger than the material the customer selected we can only build it with a joint. The total sqft for the island is 38 sqft with each piece being 19sqft, the oversized piece charge is for any single piece larger than 20sqft, so we refunded that. We typically put joints through a sink because the joint only ends up being about 7" long instead of 25 1/2" long, most customers prefer this. The templator notated the need for brackets as the OH exceeds our company policy on what is proper support for the material. At template, the customer also signed off that final seam placement is at the discretion of Front Range Stone.

Countertop is quality, install went fine and was on time, though they tore up some plaster/paint where the counter attaches to the wall and didn't adequately caulk over it, as well as straight up refused to caulk the sections where the countertop touches a chimney. The real issue, though, is the countertop they installed differed markedly in appearance from teh samples (both large and small) we looked at at Home Depot--white and black splashes every foot or so that really changed the overall effect. So we contacted them and stated the problem and included pictures and... they said we'd just have to pay for a new countertop if we wanted it to be changed. No offers on how to fix it or ease the pain of a 4000$ countertop that doesn't look like we expected it to, and is now permanently installed in our home. Then I get here and see that almost all of their ratings are one star... hope you are checking this before you work with them, because after our experience I would not recommend it!Review from Theresa H

I paid over $4000 for my quartz countertops that Front Range Stone installed 8/2023. Upon putting our faucet into the top, we noticed it had been drilled OFF CENTER! I called & emailed the company multiple times. I also contacted ********** who contracted with them (we bought through ************* they contracted through Front Range Stone).Since the problem ****** be fixed, and I paid thousands of dollars, I asked for some money discounted or any other solutions they may have, to make things right.WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! HAVE HAD ZERO RESPONSE. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN (OR ********** if they continue to contract with front range stone)Review from Matt K

I had to take a day off work in order to be at my house for the 6 hour window for my scheduled install day. Prepared as instructed, moved appliances etc. at the end of the window, no call no show. And no response to my alerting their customer service team to the no show. Please let me know how this is made right. I prepaid and they took my money on time. Please hold up your end of the deal. Thanks!Review from Karen S

Worst experience ever! If I could give negative stars I would. The entire experience with this company has been terrible! They tell you one thing and do another, make excuses for every mistake, do shoddy work, use subpar products and the supervisors are unprofessional, condescending and have the people skills of a piranha. This company does not care about the quality of work they do or the happiness of their customers. Do yourself a favor and call another company!Review from BRYAN B

BEWARE! Front Range Stone is one incompetent and uncaring business! I found them through ********** and they installed a laminate countertop for us. The way our counter was designed they had to cut the laminate so there were seems right next to the sink. Well now, less than a year ago, the laminate is bulging due to water damage. They never told me that having seems next to a sink was not a good idea because this may happen. They tried to blame ********** for not telling me, but ********** isn't who installed it and didn't know how it would have to be cut. When I called to see how this could be rectified they said water damage wasn't covered and it's not their problem. I voiced my concerns about this being bad long-term business and the manager hung up on me. I did not curse or yell at her, I just voiced my frustration with being dissatisfied.Review from Dennis D

AND DOUBLE CHECK THE SQUARE FOOTAGE THEY CHARGE YOU FOR, BECAUSE MINE WAS 3.5 SF OVER ($420.00) THAT THEY FIGURED WOULD GO UN-NOTICED. dO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY..... OR JUST DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING IF YOU DO, UNLESS YOU ARE OK WITH BEING OVER CHARGED.Review from Suzann G

Negitive stars would be more appropriate for this company. ********** contracted this unprofessional company! This company is terrible in their customer service, fabrication of custom laminate countertops and installers, aren't so good, either. Seams are horrible, a child in kindergarten could have seamed 2 pieces together better. The installer cut out my wall to try to push/fit countertop so it wouldn't go past the wall. I told the installer kid, countertop isn't made out of jello, the countertop isn't going to move. I don't think it was measured correctly. Countertop stuck out .5 inches. (Measurement was off) they put white silicone around (cafe de pesco) countertop backsplash. If. you have an appointment for your job to be measured, installed, Or my case for them to inspect the terrible installation job. YOU better call to make sure your job gets routed!! Even if you get an email or text the day b4.** Purchased from ********** laminate/formica 37 Sq ft of **** de ***** countertops $1980.00 on 10.25.22** Installation date 12.20.22.01.03.23 made appt for an inspection. Inspection date 01.12.23 company inspector never showed up! Called company, they told me my job never got routed. 2nd call to company, 01.12.23 to reschedule another inspection date. 01.24.23. I informed *****************'d help with her job and call to make sure my job gets routed.Review from Leigh C

Absolutely terrible in all regards. They will nickel and dime you for surprise costs that they previously said they wouldn't charge for, EVEN AFTER THE PROJECT IS LONG DONE! Getting them to respond to your emails and phone calls is like pulling teeth. Run far, far away from them! If you get them through *********** like we did, demand to use another company or you'll be spending twice the amount you originally estimated!Front Range Stone, Inc. Response

The pricing is establish by HD.Customer was installed by ********************** and customer signed off on the job. Customer still has a balance due to ********** for changes made by the customer. ********** cannot even include a PO number of this supposed additional charge that we apparently owe. We paid $845 for the backsplash that included the template back in May and were told that that was signed off on. Our project closed almost two months ago, and we signed off with both Front Range Stone and ********** on the completed project in late June, and it was closed. We were told that all fees were paid off. There is no reason for this additional charge and no explanation as to why or what we owe. ********** is still reviewing this, so any form of understanding was not established. Lack of communication and organization seems to be apparent in your company.
