Hertrick Chevrolet advertised in both Cargurus and their website that they completed a full service review of a 2015 Corvette that I had planned to purchase. On the day I was going down to perform a test ride and purchase the vehicle, I arrived at the dealership to find the car in the service garage with the hood up and engine covers and hardware laying on the floor. They told me that if I wanted to buy the car I would have to leave a $1000 deposit and come back another day to drive the car. Over a month I negotiated a purchase price on this vehicle and it was over a 6 hour roundtrip ride between my home in Northern New Jersey and the dealership in Dover, DE. The cost of fuel was $80. Prior to my trip for the test ride, I questioned the sale associate on the service work being performed as I did not see the work being shown complete in Carfax. They did nothing on the car and were actually moving it to be washed when they identified an issue with the "Mass Airflow Sensor". I also checked the motor oil and it had not been changed. I made a decision not to buy the car as I could not trust that it would not be reliable or that it was fully checked out. They knew I was coming down and reached out to them many times on when I would arrive. They could have easily let me know the car was not ready and I could have saved the time and fuel costs. Their goal was to fix the car before I arrived. No Customer Service here. The priority is to sell cars. During a difficult time with our family I had to downsize our vehicle to a used car. During my test drive was given a predetermined route by the salesman that lasted all of 10 min. In our state of desperation I Purchased the vehicle. Issues arose immediately with the vehicle, however, at the time we had family medical issues still at hand and I did not have ability to address them with the dealership. Now after 2 car payments the car is completely broken down and the dealership wants over half of the purchase price to fix the car. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone without demanding a car fax and inspection a third party mechanic and insisting on a test drive not dictated by the salesman. And I would not recommend a used car from this dealership

Dover Chevrolet are selling unsafe used vehicles. Have been to Dover Chevrolet three times with codes going off since I purchased my car two months ago. Took it to a different machanic ... For a price they informed me that I have a tire leak from the bead, that Dover Chevrolet couldn't find in Three and half hours. The other machanic's FOUND I have a muffler leak ... that isn't covered under warranty! Transmission is leaking... CARFAX last report was 77,000 Miles from PREVIOUS owner and odometer when I purchased it two months ago States 76,805 !!!!! Put $3,000 to put down and had a credit union already pre- authorized and they did EIGHT hard hits to my credit report which dropped my credit score! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED; ?

As a customer knowing how much it would cost to perform work on my car at Hertrich Chevrolet ,I feel I was overcharged and I was pretty much it is what it is and your gonna pay the price stated , no offered to meet me in the middle or make some attempt to lower the amount stated and I feel being my car was out of warranty , I was at the mercy being I needed my car fixed and I had faith in them because they were a Chevrolet Dealer
