      Horrible customer service. Not reliable and they have very little respect for long time customers. DON'T use them if you have another alternative

      My husband smelled gas when he got home from work. We called our gas supplier Sharp Energy and they said they would send someone out right away. He was never told it was “after hours” or told there would be a charge for this service. We just got a $225.00 charge for someone to come to our home to check for a leak. The technician never said there would be a fee either.

      I live in a community that is being converted to natural gas. As part of the conversion, tanks are temporarily placed on the property. The Sharp Energy employee that delivers these tanks is the most unprofessional, inconsiderate, and arrogant person that I have ever experienced. It is apparent from his deplorable behavior that he detests his job resulting in his aggressive and offensive conduct. I have discussed my experience with neighbors in the community and was not surprised to learn that others have experienced the same thing from this individual. I reported him to Sharp Energy management. While the CSR's were empathetic and apologized for his actions, his service manager apparently condones his reckless, unprincipled actions.

      Company representatives are unresponsive to emails Service department and techs do not communicate. One showed up in response to a heating problem and did not know why he was there. I sent an email directly to the vice-president Andy Hesson and have never received a reply or even an acknowledgement of the email.

      My furnace went up in the coldest snap we had in 2020 so I called to to come look at it and they told me it was going to be 2 weeks before they could come to me even though temps were in the 30s and 40s. The girl on phone told me if I wanted to pay 250.00 they could come sooner. I had been a customer for over 30 years. I was freezing and had to use electric heaters. Got off phone with them and called another company who came the next day. Gave me estimate on new furnace which at that time I went with them and called sharp to cancel my service with them. This was in November. As of june of 2021 they had never came and got their tank. I called 3 times and got excuse after excuse as to why they hadnt been and was told they would be here the following week. Finally after 6 months they got their tank and sent me a bill for 175.00 for getting it. I called them and complained, asked when I could expect to get a credit for the gas left in that tank and the manager let me know they do not buy back gas. This is how they treat a customer of over 30 years and I consider that a thief. Never trust this company.

      Listen carefully, if you are black or some kind of person belonging to a minority group of people in Dover and surrounding area, please hire a different company. This company has shown their inhumane ways of dealing with black customers like me. In Winter, during pandemic,they shut off the gas tank, leaving me in freezing cold with special needs child, no way to cook, shower or get heat. In addition, they are rude and must not be allowed to operate an essential company that deals with life and death situations. I wish I could leave an audio review of this horrible, unethical and racist customer service offices and management. Very disrespectful and condescending. They don’t give a damn if you alive or not, long life customer or new. They care less. Their pricing of gas is also questionable??. Last week, they turned off the tank without warning but they claimed to have been in touch with me via mail, which is false.When I made a payment of $1200, they went silent. When I called them, I was told that I still owed $ 50, plus another $95 reconnection fee. I asked them to come remove the tank, they said it would cost $600, for them to do so,?and that I should “not get rid of a good tank”. But can I survive life just by having a turned off gas tank underground? For $50, and $95, those two reasons, they would not reconnect or unlock the tank. It’s been a week without cooking gas, laundry, dryer and so on, working. I wish this company will not survive beyond 10 years from now. They are horrible, evil, unethical, inhumane, racist and unempathetic. Stay away if you identify as black or other!!!! I am warning you now.
