I received the name of this company from my insurance company to handle a water damage claim. They came out did an estimate and priced out the job. All good so far. I had some extra things done and paid them for the work I requested out of pocket and upfront. They stated the insurance company would pay half up front the remainder after the job was completed. Still all good so far. They completed the job and submitted to insurance for payment. This is where not so good. I started receiving daily phone calls asking for a check. In the past the insurance company sends me the check I PAY THE VENDOR. I do not have a check yet. I call the insurance and Greater Dayton had not done their due diligence to be paid. I inform them of this and they come back with no one response to them from the insurance company. In the interim they are demanding a payment from me. You took this on as an insurance claim at this point it is between you and them. I paid you in full. Still daily text, emails, and phone calls for their check. I am back calling insurance and they stated a check was going out for x amount of money and here is your balance. They agreed to send the check directly to the vendor. I call to pay the balance and they wanted to charge a fee over the phone, I declined and sent it certified mail. They still mailed me a bill threatening me after all I have done to make sure they were paid. This company is rude, harass customers, and are desperate to be paid no matter what. If you value your peace of mind. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR INSURANCE CLAIMS! I only have control over my pocket not corporate companies. Referrals are part of your businesses foundation. If you do not treat your customers with respect guess what no referrals.

I will never recommend Greater Dayton Construction Group.
This company is horrible, horrible, and horrible. Did I say "HORRIBLE".
My review is 1 star out of 5. The lack of attention to detail in ordering and scheduling is inexcusable. The mere fact that the insured constantly needed to contact the company on the status of the work to be performed is reprehensible. In addition, when contacting the company's management about my concern the Division Manager, Shane M****, was abrupt, indifferent, and very dismissive. The work completed by the sub-contractors was satisfactory. However, the fact that the materials were not available for install at the time of schedule resulted in not having the desired results completed in my home.

(Note: Another 4 weeks with no action)
(Insured spoke to the Division Manager, Shane M****. He was abrupt, indifferent, and very dismissive. I was extremely offended.)

23 Nov 21 - Insured contacted Project Manager to restart work
24 Nov 21 - Insured requested work start again 11/29/21
29 Nov 21 - Work interrupted due to positive Covid testing of sub-contractors
9 Dec 21 - Sub-contractors resume work (Drywallers)
(Note: Painters arrived with no paint, insured had to provide the paint colors again.)
10 Dec 21 - Sub-contractors resume work (Floor Installer)
(Note: Flooring was never ordered. Insured had to settle for in store flooring or wait for special order flooring. Not desired however, after several months of frustration, I just wanted to be finish with this company.)
