Regions Bank skirts Federal Law by being a STATE CHARTER BANK in ********Been trying to get a relatives money back for almost 2 months. They are aware person is over 80 years old and handicapped and they keep stating they will mail the check on secure credit card account that was closed on 7/17/24.Regions is aware the relative has a very difficult time going to a branch but no check for over $1000.If you have to file a complaint, you have to do it through the Alabama Attorney General because the state you live in has no jurisdiction over them. The ********************** has no control either. Also the branch would not accept Power Of Attorney and the branch employee state POAs are not worth the paper they are written on.Even though POA was notarized and signed by the notary. Also, they would not file POA at the time of the credit card application.I suggest never dealing with Regions because they are not what they used to be in the past. Their call centers always want you to go to a branch even if you are old and disabled.

Phone system is horrible!1. Asked for a callback and never received one. Waited 60 minutes for a 12 callback 2. Called them again, awaited a seven minute callback and they called back in 5 minutes. When asked if I was ready to speak press 1 the system never recognized my press of the number one. After three attempts Regions hung up on me.3. I called back and stayed on the line and was told there would be a seven minute wait. Within thirty seconds the time was changed to 10 minutes. They answered after *************************************** to my local branch and identify myself. I understand protecting me but this is ridiculous! Why? A. I had to sign into my account and confirm with a pass code they sent me. B. I had to re-identify myself to set up a zelle account. C. I had to identify myself on the phone with my SSN and a passcode sent to my phone. D. Then I was told I need to identify myself! Are you kidding me! Again, Ridiculous. I will be moving all my accounts. I have banked with regions for over thirty years. Never again!!

Do not like how when you log in and try to make a payment that your only option is to go to a 3rd party site to make it. They also state that enerbank is not responsible. That basically youre on your own. Seems shady. Also makes it hard to check your balance of your home improvement loan to make sure everything is on the up and up.

I do not recommend this branch location due to their unethical customer service towards me. I am a Black American citizen of the ***. This branch manager ***** ******** refused to serve me because of a personal issue he was having with me protecting my well being by documenting my transaction digitally. I only documented myself speaking to the personnel that was assisting me in this endeavor. No one else. I made the ******************** aware that I was doing so because of the $150 dollars stolen off of my Now Card by Regions bank system. I was disrespected by this manager verbally. The police was called on me. I was then yelled at by the police officers for speaking my peace. I asked the officer not to disrespect me for no reason and she replied "She don't like people over talking other people ". This made no sense seeing that I was not over talking anybody.

Do not choose Regions Bank as your financial institution. Several different apps encounter problems when selecting Regions Bank or find that Regions Bank is not even a recognized option. Additionally, if you have your account open for 179 days and not at least 180 days, Regions Bank will withhold at least $25.00 per account without disclosing the information beforehand; they give no warning of this $25 fee for each account. It is not mentioned by their representatives, in the email confirming your account closure, or even in the letter with your cashier's check. Your cashier's check will just be $25 short, or if you have one account with less than a $25 balance, you won't receive a check at all, and you'll have to call to find out. When you do call, after being kept on hold for 15 minutes, they will inform you there is nothing that can be done, so you're just out $25 per account for not waiting a day longer to close your account. Terrible service! Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy giving away money to a bank with dubious practices.

So Regions bought my mortgage without my knowledge and not found out after trying to make a payment to my mortgage company I have been with for over 3 years. Then I get a letter in the mail saying I dont have any insurance and they are going to buy some on my behalf and charge me double what I was already paying. I have owned this house for over 6 years, been in escrow the whole time, NEVER had one issue with insurance. Now I get this letter the month they bought my mortgage telling me to get new insurance, I jump through hoops and get the insurance reinstated. Now the next month I get another letter saying i didnt have insurance from 7/30/2024 a 8/09/2024 and they will have to buy insurance on my behalf for these 8 days from the past and want to charge me an estimated $43 bucks for their failure. Called them, went through their crappy phone list and finally after multiple attempts get someone on the phone that has no idea what Im talking about, she sends me to someone else that has no idea about what is going on but trying to put the blame on me so how. I have one had Regions for 2 months and both months have been something that shouldnt even have been a problem in the first place. Their website *****, their phone service ***** and just glad that i didnt get the credit card they offered after reading all the other complaints on here. After election I will be getting away from Tegions all together but how much more will I have to deal with in the mean time. STAY AWAY from this bank/mortgage company. Horrible and dont bother calling cause they wont have any answers for you and will only deepen your hate for them. What a major unnecessary pain in the ***.

Please be advised that Regions does not care about the customers or the hardships they are facing. I called customer service for help and was told they could not assist. If you are considering opening an account with them please dont. Explore your options.

BEWARE! BEWARE! Horrible in every way! I just opened two accounts online, a checking and a savings. I had some questions and called, after a long wait I got tired and hung up. I logged in and decided to get my answers in FAQ (no help) and chat. BIG mistake going to chat to ask a question. You meet "******" their AI so called assistant which is nothing more than a frustrating quagmire of loops, circle backs, and repeated wrong respones.. Pathetic!!!! So now my blood pressure is peaking and I call back again, again waiting too long. I telll the girl that "axe" me questions; Close the accounts!, (I hate poor service and do not tolerate it!) as I was getting no answers. She marbles, she can't while there is funds, I have to spend the money or take it out myself..I am FREAKING LIVID now.. I log back in to xfer and find they're charging me $25 early acct closure fee and $3.00 for the xfer back to my bank that they debited to open the accounts! So, I have to let my money sit in that den of theives for 6 months to NOT have them STEAL $25 dollars!!! Their customer service is horrid, cant get answers. absolutely the worst bank experience in my life (and I'm 61)

This bank has closed my account with reason or notice and no explanation that makes any sense. I've only had an account with this bank less than a month made multiple deposits and transactions to be told today it was closed because "more information was needed" and I am being told a copy of my lease or utilities bill was needed, no letter or heads-up so i can at least open another account to route my money to,and that was never received and it was closed for that reason. Like I stated I've been to a branch and deposited money and not one time was I told I need a lease ir utilities bill for a basic checking account. I have received the check card to my address and the lease or utilities bill was not needed to receive it. My payroll check is scheduled to be deposited in a couple days and no one knows where my money will end up since the account is closed. The craziness of it all I can open up another account once I provide a lease or utilities bill. Beware of Regions Bank anywhere. They will rob you with no explanation.
