We hired Phils Clocks on May 10th to service our Grandfather Clock. We were told 2-3 weeks. Four weeks later I phoned for update was told it took 3 months to complete. June 28th called and was told he had it running on his bench to make sure it was operating properly and that he would call us within two weeks. Heard nothing. On July 12th I phoned said I wanted a delivery date. I felt we'd waited long enough, had been extremely patient especially considering my e-mails, phone messages had all gone unanswered. On July 20th he calls and scheduled delivery for August 2nd. He installed the workings, set the clock. We paid him the full amount of $319.05. August 15th I phoned Phil to tell him the clock was running 50 minutes slow every 24hrs. I said that I had set the clock to its maximum speed still no luck. Never heard back. On August 25th I sent him an e-mail again saying the clock was slow. Finally 6 weeks after my initial complaint he arrives on September 20th replaces a part and resets the clock. Even had our neighbor over to meet Phil as he had work to be done as well. After all this we wanted to give Phil the benefit of the doubt and we asked him to service a banjo clock. Informed us it probably just needed cleaning and should be ready in one to two weeks. One month passes and again no communication and the Grandfather clock still running slow. No change from before. On October 19th a full month after he took the Banjo Clock I phone the office and his mother tells me he's on vacation. I ask if the banjo clock had been worked on. Answer no. We take the banjo clock back and tell Phils mom to have him call us when he returns. November 6th no call. November 7th I send certified letter asking for our money back. Lo and behold the morning of the 9th he receives letter, he calls. We say we no longer trusted him and wanted a refund. He offers $150 back we said no full amount. He lies, changes his story, doesn't respond to problems. We never got what we paid 4.

never lied to customer. swas told the length of time to fix the banjo was 12 to 14 weeks and he agreed. they said the grandmother clock was running slow still but not to worry about coming to fix it till the banjo was done . I went on my vacation and found that they had called and picked up the banjo so I called them and said I could still come out and fix the grandfather clock but they were rude and unwilling to have me come take care of the issue. you can't get your tires rotated and get an oil change then complain of a misfire and expect a full refund. customer was difficult to work with
